SOURCE: Sound Lag

This is a known issue (though Aiptek might deny it) with this model. Check out this forum at Steve's Digicams for posts on the MPVR and the lag:
http://forums.steves-digicams.com/forums/view_forum.php?id=92

It can be fixed with video editing software. I use Windows Movie Maker to copy the audio track from the video and paste it back in as a separate audio track. Then I mute the original and cut very little snips off the pasted-in audio track and slide it over until it matches the video.

It's supposed to be possible to fix this problem with software that will reduce the framerate from 30fps to 29.97fps or 25fps (don't remember which), but I haven't had any luck with that method so far.

SOURCE: Audio/video synchronization problem

I have tried several versions of Pinnacle products over the years, and have had serious problems with ALL of them. Constant crashes, re-boots, glitches, dropped frames, etc. Sound lagging behind the picture is one of many problems, and can be avoided only be capturing short clips and editing them together. A real pain. i finally gave up on Pinnacle and bought Sony Vegas Movie Studio Platinum. It has a longer learing curve than Pinnacle, but in the long run it has more features and is very stable. Sony Vegas also works with Vista. Pinnacle 10 does NOT, depsite what Pinnacle and the salespeople tell you.

SOURCE: slow video, lags behind audio

You didn't include any specs on your computer but most of the time this is an issue that might be helped by maxing out the memory in your pc. However check your pc to see how much memory it has and then check the specs on your pc to see how much memory the BIOS will recognise, but keep in mind that sometimes if you're broadcasting video thru the internet you are at the mercy of the data stream on the net. Sometimes when traffic is heavy at some sites the video will lag and there is no solution.

Video is choppy

Could be a couple of things. Could be a piece of software lagging down your pc, or your internet connection lagging. Is your pc free of malware and running and up to date virus scanner? That would be the first thing i would check.

Post back and let me know your situation.

Engine lags behind tach

Is this a standard transmission or automatic? It sound as though the clutch (standard) is slipping, or the transmission (automatic ******) is slipping. Does this happen only when starting off from a stop, or only at highway speeds? There is very little chance the tach is reading the engine speed incorrectly. If so that would look and feel as though the engine was not revving up, as your speed isn't increasing even though the tach shows higher RPMs.

I am using my tv as a second monitor as well, and i believe the lag problems with the monitor are due to the video/graphics card. I am not expert, but my pc is an alienware aurora with quad processors and 6gigs of ram. The only thing not top of the line is my video card, plus it gets slightly pixelated due to resolution not being sufficient from my video card. Otherwise flight sim X runs smoothly, except for the mouse lag issue. Best of luck, if your program is lagging also though, might be your driver

Lag problem - Guitar Hero / Wii / Philips 32PF5321/10 tv

Usually the video lags behind the audio. The reason is the video, in many TVs, takes longer to process than the audio coming direct from the device. To solve this, the audio needs to be delayed. This can be done by 1. Using the tv audio output. Most TVs sync the audio to the picture and this 'synced' audio is available at the output jack of the tv. 2. Delay the audio coming out of the device. Many home receivers have a 'Lipsync' feature designed for this issue. The setting is usually between 50 to 500 milliseconds of delay, depending on the TVs video processing time.
I hope this is clear and can help.
