Question about Fuji FinePix 2800 Zoom Digital Camera
My Fuji 3800 has begun losing the date/time and other stored memory items whenever the battery cover is opened. The camera works fine otherwise. It's about 8 months old and has always retained the time/date when changing batteries. The manual indicates the date/time will remain in memory for hours without external power. It's more of an inconvenience now, but I wonder if this is a common issue with the camera, and if this problem can turn into something more serious. Anybody know if the Fuji 3800 has an internal Lithium battery or ESD capacitor to retain the memory? Thanks Mike The camera shuts off unexpectedly whenever its on shutting or playing. It doesn't happen when connected to the PC. Sometimes it works fine and many photos can be taked and sometimes it keeps shutting of on every turnning on. Thanks
The date time problem ist he internal battery[ A watch type button inside the camera body]
has worn out- replacing it will be a workshop job.
The other problem seems like wear and tear on the switch any repair will be costly.
Just live with[out]it- or buy a new camera
