Do you mean the circuit board? If so, take a look at the wires, and you should see white plugs at their ends. Those plugs only go in one way -- the right way -- and if you take a look, you'll see that every one of the plugs have different numbers of holes. Match up the number of holes with the number of prongs on the motherboard, and you have it!

You can probably by the service manual from Sewing Parts Online, but as I explained in your other post, you really don't need it.

Singer 9217 thread winds under bobbin instead of on bobbin

Make sure the bobbin is seated all the way on the winding pin. There may be an adjustment for it--a technician can probably fix it for you. However, you can also try lifting the thread with a pencil tip just before it winds onto the bobbin. Some of my machines wind the thread unevenly (more on the bottom than the top of the bobbin) and I balance it out by lifting it when winding.

Why are some of the pattern lights green and some green on the singer model #9217

It generally means that your machine cannot do that stitch with its present settings. I took a look at your manual, and it lists the stitches and what they're for. They also mention that your needle must be in the center position for any zigzag stitches; you can only position the needle to the right or left when you're straight stitching. If you do not have your manual, you can download one free at the Singer sewing machine site.

i was having the same problem. try putting in a new slide plate - the pressure from it holds the bobbin down, but it wears thin after a while. fixed mine.

Singer Concerto sewing machine model 9217 - bobbin thread problem

This problem is common in sewing machines with plastic bobbin cases. The new case you've ordered will most likely solve your problems. I might suggest checking the point of the rotating hook, to be sure it is burr free.
