Those blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. If blinks continue without any pause, the main board is faulty. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts.

Fan stops then operation light flashes rapidly and timer light comes on flashing slowly. Turn off with remote and the lights continue to flash.

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. CAN ANYONE HELP i'm having a problem keeping the timer from going off and shutting the whole tv off. My kp-46wt510 sony widescreen from 2003 is doing the same thing, picture is bowed in the middle and...

Hi,

Most likely you have turned on the sleep function. 2nd button from the left on the top of the remote hand unit. Keep pressing until "sleep off" appears on-screen.

Or

Timer in user's menu is activated to turn off TV a specific time. Go to timer menu and adjust timer, then push cancel on the remote, this should reset timer to zero. Same with current time, adjust and select cancel, this should reset current time.

If you do not have the original remote, you are in trouble. Service tech will have remote.

Thinking of getting the TI150 3-in-1 Timer - Can it set to repeat a countdown over and over?

Review at Amazon seems to say the timer can repeat the same countdown each time button is pushed and countdown is activated.

Amazon review says:
http://www.amazon.com/General-Tools-TI150-Visually-Impaired/product-reviews/B001TOJG7Y/ref=dp_db_cm_cr_acr_txt?ie=UTF8&showViewpoints=1
The timer is easy to set. You just set the time, then hit the big "start/stop" button and the little "H" and "M" on either side of the timer display flashes.

To clear the timer, just hit both the "h" and the "m" buttons simultaneously. (so time has to be cleared)
To stop the alarm or to turn off the timer before the alarm sounds just hit the "start/stop" button.

On the back of the timer, there are 4 different on/off switches: flashing light alarm, sound alarm, vibrating alarm, and one for hours/minutes or minutes/seconds.

When I set the timer on my desk, it moved around when the alarm went off but when I turned off the vibrating function, the timer didn't move around.

If you need to turn off both the sound and vibrating alarms and use only the flashing light alarm, the light is quite noticeable by itself if placed nearby in your line of sight (within a foot or so). This would be very handy if you're near a sleeping baby! :) But if you clip it on a breast pocket, I would use both the flashing light and vibrating alarms. The vibrating alarm does make a sound, but it's not as loud as the ringing alarm.
