I got a Bissell Proglide cordless for Christmas I used it twice and now when I turn it on, it runs for a few seconds and cuts off - if I remove the battery and replace it, the same thing happens.

SOURCE: Bissell lift off vacuum about

Sounds like a bad motor bearing. If it is, then you would have to replace it. Could be the brush roll, did you check the ends to make sure they turn easily?

Beater bar is not coming on- belt is on, canister is empty. Vacuum runs but no beater bar

Remove the beater bar and clean the debris from the bar and the end bearings. Remove the belt (remember how it is installed) and check it for any damaged areas. Make sure the bar turns freely before the belt is attached to the motor drive. Hope this helps!

Bissell Proheat only sprays for a few seconds.

When was the last time you changed the flat belt? Even if it isn't broken it could be so stretched out that when the brush hits the floor it slows or stops the pump from spraying. If its a new belt then and your sure there arent any clog's that usually means the pump is bad. Also if youve ever used anything other than bissell shampoo in the machine it could have ruined the pump as well.
