Unable to connect high pressure hose to gun base on Karcher 3.99M
I am able to insert the high pressure hose to the gun base, but it will not click or lock into place. As such water leaks (big time). The hose connection head will make it past the gate inside the gun so I know the it is being inserted correctly, but it will not click in like it did the first time around. I have checked the manual as the instructions are very simple i.e. just push it in and it should lock into place with an audible "click". Please note that this unit is brand new and only been used twice in as many months, so this should not be a maintenance issue.
Has anyone else experienced this or is this a warranty issue????

I am presuming when you insert the wand that you are also twisting it into place? The click usually occurs when the wand is twisted and it locks. Simply pushing it in without twisting will cause water to flow big time as it's not sealed. If you are doing all correct then the seal is damaged and should be returned for a warranty claim

Check where the hose goes on the machine there should be a screen in the connection that is probably dirty. take it out and clean it with a wire brush. Also take the gun off the hose and see if water comes out then. If so the gun has to be cleaned.
It depends on were the water is leaking from on the gun. If the water is leaking from were the high pressure hose goes into the gun it could be that on oring as been damaged. If the water is coming from the trigger you may need a new trigger gun.
If you tell me your model number (1.xxx-xxx.0) i can tell you the part number that you will need to give to your Karcher dealer/supplier to replace it.
If you have not yet found a solution, then here are some steps to take.
1. The soap dispenser only works on low pressure!!!!!!! So you have to
REMOVE the high pressure Sprayer so that all you use is the Trigger
Gun without the Extender.
2. Pull out the thin Plastic Hose with the filter attached in the end, and insert into your container of detergent.
It will only splatter the detergent over the area you want to clean, so
you will then need to REATTACH the SPRAYER into the hand gun to work
with the soap to lather, clean and spray of till clean.
This seems to be the way the system works on this model......also known
as K2.36M (AU) in Australia or (EU) in Europe on the Karcher.com.au
site then Service then Manuals. or on the link below.
Hope this helps any of you who has misplaced their Owners Manual just
like I did and had a great problem trying to find a link as Karcher
doesn't recognize the Model No: as Winner 10 or 11.
There is a good chance you are missing the black plastic clip that holds the hose into the trigger gun. If you look at where the hose goes into the gun there should be a flat slot where a black plastic clip would slide in and keep the hose into the trigger gun.
try easy solution first: make sure that your mains is fully open, that tap on whihc hose is hook up is fully open and hose is of "decent" diameter to allow sufficient flow.
if above solution do not work then you need to make another, more difficult arrangement: prepare 20litres pressure tank with inlet connected to mains and outlet by short hose to power washer, fill it with water from mains, keep it under mains pressure and use karcher power washer normaly. this will solve water supply problem. twenty litres will last about 2min, because it is re-filled, under standard pressure therefore it will last about 3min...
third possibility is to stop washing...

Your posting is incomplete, so I'm not quite sure what we're dealing with here. I understand the machine and the high-pressure hose are Karcher - right? Is the gun also a Karcher part? If all are Karcher parts, they should fit unless the screw threads have been damaged. If they are not all Karcher parts, they will not fit because Karcher connectors are different from almost all others.
Please post again if this doesn't help, giving as much detail as possible, and I'll see what else I can offer.
Pop out the plastic tab at the base of your gun (use point of screwdriver/knife). Then push the hose connection into the gun and push the plastic tab back into it's slot. This will hold the hose in place.
