SOURCE: fridge doesn't get cold enough

If the evaporator fan is not running. The fan itself could be faulty or the door operated light/fan switch could be faulty.

If the evaporator fan is running. The fridge is not defrosting and ice has built up on the evaporator and the air is not circulating properly into the fridge compartment. The fan circulates cold air into the fridge and back through the fridge control which is normally just an adjustable flap which allows more or less cold into the fridge depending on the setting. If the fridge is not defrosting, the defrost timer could be faulty or heater element could be blown.

SOURCE: Our caravan fridge electrolux rm4206

remove the fridge from caravan, now turn upside down and leave for as long as possible. what this does is get rid of any air locks in the gas. once left for a month or too turn back and leave for a day to setal and refit to caravan.this should solve your problem, it has been tried and tested on our caravan and worked. (This will not work on a domestic house fridge because they work on a different system)

SOURCE: My fridge IS NOT getting cold enough. Temp control is maXxed. The freezer seems cold enough and making ice cubes. this is a GE fridge model #TBF16DRB

Try cleaning the coils beneath the refrigerator. Its possible that they are covered with dust and blocking a fresh flow of cool air to help cool the refrigerator inside. Just a little cleaning there will make a big difference. Check your door seals also a small opening will let the cool out and the hot in. Thanks, Sea Breeze

SOURCE: Refrigerator not getting cold enough

1. If your refrig is a frost free type, you may want to check the freezer to ensure it isn't over loaded with food stuff, reason being air must flow freely threw out the entire refrigerator in order for the thomostat to work correctly. You should also check the coils on the rear of the refrig and make sure they are clean and dust free. If you still have problems after trying the above; you may need to call a repair service to come out and check the unit.

2. Pull it away from the wall if you can and try to vaccuum or dust off the vents and fans in the back (you might want to turn it off while you do that). We had a problem with our old fridge and it turned out that the vents were just really dusty and weren't pulling in enough air. Have you tried cleaning the heat exchange coils which are underneath or behind the refrigerator depending upon the design of your unit? If these are covered with dust bunnies the dust serves as an insulator and prohibits them from shedding heat from the coolant that passes through them. Hope that helps...!!

3. you must visit repair-shop if the problem still persists.

Good luck in correcting your problems.
Best Regards.

Heat doesnt work in my jeep cherokee when driving but when sitting heat works

Put a piece of cardboard in front of the radiator. Only if it's cold out though, Usually in really cold weather, the cooling affect of the cold air circulating around the radiator keeps the fluid from getting hot enough to produce heat unless your running in park.

Fridge does not seem cold enough. It is maybe 12 years old. Do I need a new fridge

The heat between the doors is normal but not really hot. if sides and between the doors is real hot then you have an air flow problem. Vacuum coils under it and coils by condenser fan. Check your Condenser fan by compressor.

Freezer not getting cold enough.

That is normal since the cold control is on the refrigerator side and is satisfied. It needs to be in a heated environment and not in an unheated garage.

I moved my whirlpool fridge and now the doors get really hot and the fridge won't get cold enough.

Check to make sure the condenser fan underneath is running. You can access it from the back behind the cardboard cover. It should run when the compressor runs. Test it here- How to check everything http://www.acmehowto.com/howto/appliance/refrigerator/refrigerator.php

The fridge gets its cold air from the freezer through a vent(damper) between the freezer and fridge. The fan in the freezer blows air through it. There is a flap you adjust with the fridge temp. control. Make sure it's opening and closing when you adjust the fridge temp ..
If the evaporator coils behind the back panel of the freezer are icing up because of auto defrost failure that will stop the circulation of cold air and eventually affect the freezer too.

check defrost timer, defrost heater, defrost thermostat. In most newer models the timer has been replaced by an electronic control board. If the heater and thermostat are ok it’ll be the control.

You can turn the defrost timer till it clicks and everything shuts down. The heater should now come on. If it does, replace the timer. If it doesn't, check the heater and defrost thermostat. Turn the timer again till everything starts back up to end the defrost cycle.

Kenmore fridge is getting super hot

These fridges are designed that way believe it or not. Designed to eliminate condensation on surface but in hot weather they get really hot then stay warm until compressors cooldown. I would not worry. You can also call kenmore sears and they can tell you if it is fine.

Frigidaire Freezer Runs Warm in Cold Weather

hi there the problem you have is that the temp in the garage is to low, the fridge part of your fridge freezer has priority and will only activate the compressor when req'd ie. in cold weather the fridge may not need to switch on the compressor for days at a time this is when the freezer will defrost.
All you can try doing is having some very low heating in your garage in the cold weather

hope this is of help.
