SOURCE: HAVE REPLACED CARTRIDGE STILLS SAYS RECOMMEND NEW CARTRIDGE

Canon use chipped cartridges, if you use a generic or a refilled one that uses the old chip (you have to move the chip yourself) then it will report it as empty, unless you re-set the chip with a chip re-setter that is made for those particular chips.

I press the lever down on Soda Stream and no carbonating stream, the three levels of light come on. Machine is a year old and tried 2 new canisters with no luck.

Put a finger up into the hole the CO2 canister screws into while you repeatedly push down on the carbonation button and up against the seat of the CO2 socket. You should feel a plunger moving up and down against the pressures of your finger and the button. If you don't feel this plunger, the SodaStream valve is either stuck or faulty. Make sure the CO2 cylinders are screwed up at least finger tight against the top of the socket.

My brand new kitchen aid soda stream appliance leaks from the top of the bottle every time I use it! Help!

It sounds like the seal is coming off. I would first super clean it. Make sure nothing could be getting in the way of the seal. I would also check to see if any part of the top is warped. If that is the case, you should try and return it.

How do you make your own soda with sodasparkle?

You chill tap water in the SodaSparkle bottle. They give you a 1L soda bottle for strong sparkle and a 1.3L soda bottle for light sparkle. You fill the soda bottle to the marked line and then insert the disposable SodaSparkle carbonating cartridge into the soda making machine.Turn the cartridge and then bubbles form!

Soda stream not carbonating

I called soda stream about the same thing. They said it could be a plugged valve or a broke machine. To unplug the valve, you take the washer out, then carefully put the canister in without the washer until you hear gas escape for 2 seconds.. then you take the canister back out and put the washer back in. If that doesn't work, it's a broken machine and they have to send you a new one.
