Peple often want to put 1500watt amplifiers, with no consideration of the amount of power it draws from your battery and alternator, then you notice your headlight dim down everytime the sub woofers hit, make sure you add up how much power its gonna draw out of your regular charging system, to get the most out of any big watts amplifier do the Math, upgrade accordingly, its not how much you can get out the subwoofers set up n wiring, but how clean from distortion and phase sync with the rest of the system, if out of phase youll hear one driver sooner or later than the others , anyhow..1 Faraday capacitor. , before any amp will give you the juice to get the most out of any amplifier,s i think every single driver should have its own amp, syncronize and in phase (parametrics equalizer was use back in the old school dayz.i talk to much peace.

SOURCE: wire diagram for daul 15 inch soundstream speakers

Hi Diaz,

We're going to need a bit more to go on. The amp configuration, single channel each or both on same, single or dual coil, that sort of thing.

The make and models of all components is always good to know from our standpoint.

You also need to think about power requirements when driving large speakers.

So comment back or repost with as much detail as possible.

Best regards
Mike

Wiring diagram for dual voicecoil subwoofer

To wire a DVC subwoofer, treat it (in the diagrams) as two seperate speakers, called coil one and coil two. This makes things easier.

To wire them up, wiring them in series would be safer, but if the amp is 2 ohm stable, put them in parallel. Look up dual voice coil wiring in google imagesfor more information and pictures.

Wat do i need 2 install a sound system

You can go to your local car audio store, Walmart, Circuit City and buy a Wiring Kit they go by the size of your amps ( Watts ) you can get them fairly cheap and it comes with all the wires, and fuses needed.

I hope this helps answer your question. This is the best way really to get the right cables (makes the system sound better with proper wiring) The power cable has the fuse built in as well. Feel free to leave positive feedback if this helps.
