most newer machines derate (reduce power) when the temp light comes on unplugging it may not change anything because the ECM still senses a problem with the temp maybe a sensor problem

Well Cindy let me ask you was it doing it since you got it ? or it just start doing this ? just so you keep in mind that since you dont have battery in idle can be less power into the bulb filament now when accelerate creating more power meaning more light on bulb...

Starts fine when push throttle it bogs down have to turn choke on to keep running but runs great wide open 1989 yamaha phazer


you probley have a weak coil it has enough power to start and run at low speeds but at high speeds the coil does not put out enough spark
