Question about Washing Machines
Check to see if lid switch is not activated or is broken, or more correctly open. You can test by inserting jumper in place of switch. If unit spins, switch is bad or missaligned. Most time I find the little plastic peice that in on the lid is broken off and there the switch is not pushed down when the lid is closed.
I idea behind the switch is to keep you from sticking your hands in a spinning washer.
