I bought Rock Band drum set from Malaysia. But there was no disc inside the pack. I was trying to connect the same to my PS2 but asking for a rock band disc. Where can i purchase the same or can i get a...

As you've noted, you'll need to buy a Rock Band disc. You might be able to find one in the used game section of your local video game retailer (Gamestop for example).

Alternatively, you can purchase it online. Here is a link to the PAL version of the game. I linked to the PAL version (on as you mentioned Malaysia in your question, which is a PAL region, and the UK is also a PAL region. The PS2 is region locked so your games must match the same region as your PS2.

I cant unlock my ps2 console to watch a region 1 dvd and ive tried some unlocks but they wont work

make sure your console has the ability to read region 1 discs in the first place.
REGION 1 -- USA, Canada
REGION 2 -- Japan, Europe, South Africa, Middle East, Greenland
REGION 3 -- S.Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Parts of South East Asia
REGION 4 -- Australia, New Zealand, Latin America (including Mexico)
REGION 5 -- Eastern Europe, Russia, India, Africa
REGION 6 -- China
REGION 7 -- Reserved for Unspecified Special Use
REGION 8 -- Reserved for Cruise Ships, Airlines, etc...
REGION 0 or REGION ALL -- Discs are uncoded and can be played Worldwide, however, PAL discs must be played in a PAL-compatible unit and NTSC discs must be played in an NTSC-compatible unit.
The end result is that DVDs encoded for regions other than Region 1 cannot be played on a region 1 DVD player, also, players marketed for other regions cannot play region 1-stamped DVDs.

If you forgot the parental control code and you need to unlock that, though, then try this:
1.Bring up a screen where the unit asks you to enter in the parental code. You can either insert a restricted disc, or enter the DVD setup menu and go to "parental control" under
custom setup.

2.When the screen asks for the code, press the SELECT button, then enter in the code "7444".

3.The level adjustment under Parental Control dictates the strictness of the player. The lower the value, the more strict it will be. Either increase the value to lower the restriction, or disable the lock entirely by setting it to "off".

4.Once you have made your adjustments, be sure that the DVD tray is empty, and press the RESET button on the front of the Playstation 2. It is imperative the tray is clear of any DVD or game for the unit to save your settings.

Games discs purchased in the USA do not work on the UK model? Message on screen "could not read Disc"

The Wii console is designed to only recognize the disc in that region.
If you insert a disc from another region, the Wii can't read it.
You live in the UK, for example. If you insert discs that aren't purchased in the UK (like the USA), the Wii can't read it.

My ps2 screen says 'insert a playstation or a ps2 format disc

t's not asking for a specific disc, it's asking for a properly formatted PlayStation disc.

This message could mean that any one of several things has happened:
* You are trying to play a Japanese disc on a US PS2, or vice versa
* You are trying to play a game that has been copied onto a CD-R/DVD-R
* Your disc is scratched/dirty/otherwise unreadable
* Your disc isn't a format that the PS2 recognises (i.e. CD, DVD, PS CD-ROM, PS2 CD-ROM, PS2 DVD-ROM, etc)
* Your PS2 is broken

good buddy,if your ps2 is pal then you can only play disc with the region 2 designation only,if you want your ps2 to play other region such as ntsc/uc U.S. or ntsc/j ***.you need to bring it to a certified techman for modding.thats the only way for you to dissolve this problem.

Please insert a playstation or ps2 format disc

This problem actually related to the region change.For this problem you have to install a modification chip in your PS2 console after that it will play all your games according to your region.
For this you have to contact any expert nearby to you.

PLaystation "format disc"

DVD and playstation games have region codes, and the will only work with games from that specific region. If you got a game from Asia or Europe and want to play it on a playstation purchased in North America you will need something call a 'mod chip' to get it to play. You can find these 'mod chips' here, but be careful because installing one may void your warranty and some require soldering to attach. You also need to make sure you get the correct model for your version of the PS2 as there have been many revisions of it.
