SOURCE: I have a sentient 4

Make sure the CCTV recorder is on and then connect the USB cable from the device to the PC. After a few seconds your PC should show a pop up notice that a new device is found and the PC is loading the appropriate software for it.
Go to My computer and see if the device logo has come on the screen other than all the PC devices ( such as C drive , DVD Rom drive etc: )
Double click on the CCTV icon and the PC will open the the contents. There will be several folders and open them one by one . One of them will contain your camera recordings. Just copy and paste them in a new folder on your PC.
Revert back if you have any difficulty.

Please look at this tutorial on youtube,

The old systems is not difficult to do it yourself if your technical minded, although the newer systems will require some IT background. I recommend a certified installer to assist you, you can damage the camera if you don't know what your are doing.

Get the correct cabling and connectors.

I've got a problem with my cctv cnm 160GB H 264 4 channel DVR I have 3 cameras set up on it and 1 of the cameras have stop working I've checked all power and cables and they are all working fine the...

Remove all the cameras then reboot. If it boots up normally then shut down dvr and add a camera and repeat. If it doesn't solve the problem, the issue is probably a video card or motherboard issue and will need to be repaired or replaced.

I have a Sentient CCTV System and now all the screens on the monitor have lines going across them as if there is some sort of interference, do you know how to stop this ?

Look for Totally tight cable connections. A break in the grounding causes the interference, usually. It only takes a slight loose connection to have issues.
