Question about Samsung DVD-VR330 VCR and DVD Recorder
I have a SAMSUNG DVD-VR300E a few years old but never used.
I would like to load a disk but the machine is not reacting when I push the open/close button.
I there a way to solve this.
ps I do not have the original remote so it needs to be done on the machine.
Thank for you help.
This could be due to one of several reasons. It may be that the tray is stuck inside the rail. OR it may that the tray drive motor be faulty. You can check by putting your finger on the tray front and pushing the open button: if there is a faint vibration then a click then this is a tray jam. If no vibration is felt then the drive motor is faulty. You state that pushing the button displays OPEN so it seems that the button is ok. Now if the tray is stuck what you can do is open the drive mechanism, check whether there is a rubber band which is involved in opening or closing. Replace that band with a new one from an electronics store. Also clean and grease the rail with alcohol. Please note that ONLY ATTEMPT it if you are familiar with opening drives and are out of warranty. If you are not easy then you'll have to go to a technician. AND if the motor is faulty this would also require soldering.
