One more question..I would like to know in the area of wood burning stoves, I mean the entire meaning of "stove" i.e. stovetop and oven, an opinion really, what would anyone of you consider purchasing? I...

Being a mason contractor for over 30 years, and also live in Wi. I would ask you about what its main use would be for. Using wood as a "stove" really narrows your selection. If using it for just a cooktop...then your best choice is the size that fits the area of your living space while also offering the largest top surface area. All while looking at the stoves btu output efficiency. Your cost greatly jumps when adding an actual stove into the mix...and efficiency drops. Good luck hunting one down.

How many BTU does a stove put out

A home stove has, on average, about 7000 BTUs per burner. Some burners are lower, designed for simmering and low-heat cooking, and may put out 3000 to 5000 BTUs. And there may be one monster burner on a range that goes up to 12,000. (That's the one you always put your pasta pot on!)23 Mar 2010

I have century wood stove , how do I keep the seal on the door to stay in place. The seal looks to be in good shape, do I need to glue it in, using what product.

You need Gasketing Sealant and Stove Sealer which is a Red Devil product. Good for 2,000 degrees. Don't buy the cheap stuff, read the lable, as some is only good to 550 degrees and will deteriorate rapidly and fall out.

How is air supply regulated in wood burning stoves?

To regulate air flow, there are damper devices built into the stove, flue and stove pipes. Keeping the air flowing correctly through a wood-burning stove is essential for safe and efficient operation of the stove. Fresh air needs to enter the wood compartment to provide oxygen fuel for the fire; as the fire burns, the smoke must be allowed to rise through the stove pipes, and exit through the chimney.

How do i get even heat thru out the house with a daka wood stove

http://www.hearth.com/talk/categories/main-hearth-forums.4/
You burn wood, and smoke goes up flueway.
You're not running chimney smoke through ductwork so you have a heat exchanger.
What kind of heat exchanger?
probably air since you're running through ductwork?
How much hot air or hot water is coming off heat exchanger?
How big of a space can be heated with that amount of heat?
Is the exchanger located in optimal location?

Considerations.
One room log cabin with fireplace will not stay very warm.
One room house with big wood burning stove in center, with hot flue pipe running across the room and exiting on far wall, will get warm-hot, but will cool off fast.
Why?
Because the BTU output of firewood is much less than electric, coal, oil, or gas.
Otherwise they would have made wood-burning steam locomotives. But the locomotive boiler cannot get hot enough with wood ... the boiler needs coal to produce enough BTUs to boil water fast enough to rotate the turbine and turn the wheels.

Maybe your wood stove output should be measured.
Don't forget a huge percentage of fire heat goes straight up flueway.
