Having looked at the manual it doesn't look like there is any option to change it to that. It will simply list them in the order they were recorded. With the last first.

Yes the manual is pretty useless on this subject

Have you heard somewhere that the box can store them in alphabetical order?

No but it is an obvious way to want them stored. It now takes ages for me to find the programme I want.

Ah! But electronic designers are nerds. They didn't even get the date thing right for the year 2000, costing millions to put right. If the alphabetical way of ordering had been included it would have been in the manual.
This is one that there is no real solution for. The best I can suggest is to transfer old recordings you want to keep onto some other format. Then there will be less to go through. Plus delete any that you have watched.

Thanks, I will just have to get used to it and not buy one of these boxes again.

All recordings gone on my Humax 1100s.

This is a known problem on these models; contact with the disk is lost. If it is still in warranty, contact Humax. If not, replacing capacitors on the mainboard may fix it.

Cannot record externally from Humax bt you View box onto Toshiba RDXV60KB ( HDD & DVD modes). As I previously could? I am getting message E26 " Cannot record from this program". But the Tos

This error e26 gets thrown up on some digital rights management programs.this really just means you are not allowed to record...ever increasingly thanks to the big corps like sony drm carrier signals are put into some broadcasts to overcome copying infringements.there still is a way to do this with the right equipment.some tv channels get revenue from their advert counts so they put these signals in to ensure that you can only watch at broadcast or catchup on certain devices.what I can't figure out is I can record anything whilst it's being aired and still transfer to older equipment but not anything with latest ios and certainly not with sony recorders.

I have a 9320 humax hard drive recorder which keeps freezing the only way to restart the box is switch it off and back on again, i am losing lots of recording with this problem

This may help, especially if an update has gone wrong;
Turn off
Unplug aerial and turn on
Perform a defaults reset (you'll lose scheduled recordings and any changes you have made to settings)
Turn off
Plug in aerial
Turn on and perform a second defaults reset.

If that doesn't do it, please repost.

Humax Tivo will not record to DVD

After the update to 1.15 I had to delete EVERY recording on the unit. After that, any new recordings would burn just fine. However, some have found that same failure even after a hard reboot (repower). Called Humax level-1 support and they suggested a replacement unit so I swapped it out. But I've since learned that TiVo "pushes" a DVD firmware patch (possible supplied by Humax) from 1.08 to 1.15 and that patch is the culprit. That patch is suppose to make the DVD burn at a higher spin rate. After talking with level-2 Humax support they heard of the problem and said "the unit is working as designed", meaning, the DVD drive manufacturer specs say the drive is capable of a faster burn rate. So now I have Humax DTR800 #2 and so-far-so-good, but TiVo hasn't pushed the patch onto the box yet!
