How to Make Your Own Jewelry

It's actually a lot easier than you realize to make your own jewelry and it's certainly a lot cheaper.
If you are even slightly creative and enjoying crafts, then jewelry making could be a great hobby that you do for yourself and for family and friends.
I've made necklaces and bracelets to match outfits for special occasions for myself and also for my closest friends. It's actually a really personal way to give a gift.

Here are some basic tips:
  • If you see a piece of jewelry that you like, try and either take a photo or draw a picture of it, so you can base your design around it later. (I didn't say copy it exactly).
  • Find a good place to source your materials. There are some great bead and jewelry shops tucked away that sale a wide range of beads and thread materials to choose from. Even though some of the fancier beads can still work out to be expensive, it's still a fraction of the price of buying it ready made.
  • You don't need to invest in a lot of jewelry making equipment but you will need wire to thread on to and clasps for closing.
  • Ask in the jewelry shops for advice about basic tools to get you started.
  • Most importantly - have fun. Play around with colors and textures and be adventurous. You can always undo necklaces and re-use the beads somewhere else.

Best settings to photo jewelry upclose for sale on internet

The best setting really depends on the type of pictures you want. Do you want a white background and a completely focused picture or do you want a natural background and more artistic type of picture? The latter is easier to produce as it can be done with a soft hand-held flash and almost any kind of natural lighting conditions and you can put it on a surface according to what you want to get - reflection, colors, shadows and what not. Getting a white background takes more lighting effort and way more Photoshop to cut the item from the background. See the picture of the same rings, different style of photography. best-settings-photo-jewelry-upclose-sale-1g5wszphrhgg2c1q13o1qzmn-4-0.jpg

How can I take pictures of something small and detailed, like jewelry

Try using the mode that shows the icon of the flower, it is for close-ups. Also try using bright desk lamps to illuminate the jewelry well enough so that a flash is not needed. if you can, set up a white box or white posterboard to bounce light around, this too will help. Placing the camera on a tripod or something to steady it while shooting will help as well.

I've read the manual, but I'm still not sure what settings would be the best to photograph close-pictures of jewelry. I want the pictures as clear as possible. A lot of my pictures are fuzzy even when I...

You will probably need to use a tripod in close up mode. Especially if the light levels are low. Flash may help but often gives pictures with overbright parts and reflections. Cheap table tripods are easy to get hold of and if used with the self timer can give very good results.
