I have a Kenmore oasis elite dryer that was flashing F40. We figured that out. Now the drum won't turn and it's not flashing anything. Everything works except that. Please help.

Check lint filter, check vent outlet at dryer, and continue on through vent checking for lint to the exit area of the vent. Keeping the vent lint free saves energy and reduces drying time.
F40 is a error that appears between the machine control and the motor control when communication becomes lost.
I had this same issue. My dryer would run and heat up but then stop and give me the f40. I measured all thermisters and everything was in range. The tech sheet stated that I needed to buy a new control board and I did. Same problem. The solution was a loose connection on for p4. I took needle nose pliers and squeezed the connector to make it fit tight on the board and everything is working now. Bottom line, expensive dryer with cheap connectors.
F40 = thermal fuse blown. If the fuse is OK the error points to a communication problem between the machine control board and motor control board (check connectors).
