How do I reset my remote on a liftmaster opener

Removing the batteries from the remote for about 30 seconds, as well as unplugging the receiver for about 30 seconds should reset the circuit boards, causing your remote to begin working again. Garage door remotes and receivers have matching codes they send back and forth to each other when you press the remote button

page31. This will reprogram one handheld remote at a time. If after reprogramming they still won't work call Liftmaster and ask them. You may need a new board. You will have to weigh the cost of board replacement vs a new opener. A new opener will use all existing mounting parts I would try to reprogram you may check HD and see if they have new remote. Try the new remote and see if this will cure your problem, if not return the remote.

My garage door receiver does not have a "learn"

The 900 series remote control only works with door openers having an orange learn button see the liftmaster remote 971 manual 4th one down

Have a chamberlain liftmaster 1/2 hp garage door opener. The remote stopped working. I replaced the battery, didn't work. Cleared the memory on the back of the unit and tried to reset remote, didn't work....

If you have more than one remote unit and only one stopped working then it is the remote. If this is the only remote you have it could also be the receiver. No way to tell with only one remote.

Remote will not open or close door (it's not the battery)

It sounds like your logic board has gone bad. The logic board contains the receiver that gets the signal from the remotes.

Garage door opener will not respond to security plus remotes

Reset the Liftmaster unit. There should be a red reset button on the unit in the garage. If this does not work, reset the breaker. Good Luck!

Locked out & Remote not working

There should be a green button on the back of the motor unit, press it for 2 seconds and then hold down your remote button until the light flashs. or for 3-5 seconds and then activate the remote. that might solve your problem

reset your remotes and your main transmitter after removing and replacing the remote batteries (these use rolling codes that change each time you operate the door) the procedure for doing this is listed on the liftmaster website

Hi, i have a motor guide wireless, W55, 970100030, 12V I have a motor guide wireless, there a short some were. I took some of the casing off but did not see any open wire that would give me a short. The only other place I didn't open was was the motor not sure how to open that part. Some help on this would help me a lot. Thanks in advance Rob.

Press and immediately release the smart/learn button and walk over to the keypad and key in your 4 digit code and press enter. If this doesn't do the job your keypad is probably bad.
