Hi,
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.

My phone hasnt been used for a few mths when ive put it on charge theres a red light and the sony logo keeps flashing on and off

It's probably just charging. It's gone completely dead, no residual charge left at all, and it will do that because the phone is off and charging. After it does this awhile, you can turn it on while it finishes charging.
