How to remove my keyboard from an acer aspire 7520-5185 laptop?

Slide back the 6 tabs away from the keyboard (as show here, be sure to turn down the volume!~: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0d4p3obsjHQ ). Lift up the keyboard about 3 inches to reveal the data strip attached to the keyboard. Lift up on the brown data strip gently, as these have a tendency to break, if forced. Reverse the process with the install of the new keyboard, save the tabs: Just apply pressure at the top of the keyboard, on the corners first, and they will snap into place.

It just snaps right in. just make sure it's right in the middle and snap it in. If it doesn't work, make sure it's being aligned correctly, but like I said, it should snap back in.

How do i replace the keyboard in hp dv6500

First thing is to take the battery out. Then you need to remove the access door that covers the wireless card and Ram memory. In the area where the battery sits, there are three screws, these hold the power strip in place. Remove those screws, now there are two more screws in there up against the battery compartment, these are marked with a keyboard icon, remove these two screws. Now, there is one more screw for the keyboard and that is in the wireless/ram compartment. It is down in a "tube" but marked with the keyboard icon. Once that screw is removed, turn the laptop back over and open the lid. With your fingernails pry up on the right side of the power strip and lift it gently, it will pop up, but be careful because there are a couple of flat cables that connect it to the motherboard. This strip does not have to be removed to remove the keyboard. Just shift it toward the display so that you can grab the keyboard at the top and lift it toward you to clear the power strip. There are no other screws holding it down. Once you lift it up at about a 45 degree angle shift it toward the display and this will allow the keyboard "catches" to release at the bottom of the keyboard. Look under the keyboard and there will be a flat cable attached to the motherboard, this is the last attachment. It is held in place by a tension clip. look at the white or light colored strip of plastic on the end of the cable socket, move this toward the display, it will slide forward releasing the cable. Reverse these processes to put the new keyboard back in. Just remember the keyboard slides under the palmrest at the bottom of the keyboard, watch the keyboard when you remove and you will see what I mean.

Need to replace dvd dr and can't get notebook apart.

You need to have a manual of that on how to remove. It is hard for the people who do not have experience in laptop trouble but you can do it with your self. You need to follow of this some instruction.

The first things you should do is to remove the battery.

Insert a sharp thin object between the keyboard securing strip and the laptop base and carefully lift up the strip. After that you can continue removing the keyboard strip with your fingers.

Remove the keyboard securing strip.

Remove two screws securing the laptop keyboard.
After you remove the screws, lift up the keyboard and place is so you can access the keyboard connector on the system board.

If you need to remove and replace the keyboard, you can do it now. Before you pull the keyboard cable from the connector you have to open the connector.
To remove the DVD/CD-ROM drive, remove the securing screw first. After that push on the drive to slide it away from the laptop base.

Grasp the drive and remove it from the laptop.

Before you replace the optical drive, do not forget to transfer braces to a new optical drive.

You can view some photos of that procedure here,

Handle has pulled away from the door. How can I access the screws

Realized the top chrome part split into 2 pieces and then was able to remove the wood like strip in the chrome strip. Popped the top chrome anchor, reattached the handle bracket as the screw holes were not stripped, put the wood like strip back in place and slid the top chrome anchor back in place.

Toshiba A75-S231 on/off glow ring.

The plastic strip with the power button/glow ring, comes off. I believe there is at least one, and maybe two screws on the bottom that hold it. Take out the screws that are directly bellow the strip, it doesn't matter if you remove all screws in that area just so long as you put them back. After removing the screws, pry up one end of the strip, and lift up the rest, the strip will snap up and off. I've found that it's easier if you get it started from the top of the keyboard, rather than trying to get under the very end next to the other plastic area for the initial pry or lift on the strip.
