SOURCE: need capacitor value for 200-000-tips110h c30

If a filter cap value will be marked right on side: like 220 uf 16vdc which is 220 microfarad at 16 volts dc--

note also the - stripe on one side= negative and the + which is positive which will also be marked on the board.

4_3_2012_1_57_42_pm.jpgthis is a 1,000 at 250 volts ; black is negative and positive is on other side.

Hi...does anyone know what value cap goes in c13 on a lightening audio B2.350.1 board as the cap on my amp blew up completely...thanx

If the the burned cap you discuss here is the component that I've marked here; it is not a capacitor, but is a Metal Oxide Verister[MOV]. During a lightning, it is more likely to be burned out. See the pointed out component and make sure, it is one you're pointing out here.

If so, replace it with a similar one. Can be bought from most of the electronics spare part shops. If you wish to get some details; visit the site linked here. Pull up older posts.Circuit diagrams of many popular brand TVs and other devices are given. You might get details by the circuit diagram.

Comes on and goes right back off

power supply issue, look at any capacitors on board for any bulged or opened capacitors. Note values and replace. Turn off, unplug and then hold power button off for 10 seconds to discharge power buss before working on it.

TV GOES OFF BY ITSELF

Good day!!!!

That problem is usually cause of faulty capacitors on the power supply board..

Just follow this instruction to fix your TV..

1. Open the back cover of your TV.
2. Look at the power supply board..Its normally connected to the power cord..
3. After that,,try to look at the actual image of capacitors if it is bulged on the top so that you can easily determine the bad capacitors..
4. After that,,try to replaced the bad capacitors using soldering iron and soldering lead..replaced the capacitors only with the same type ratings and value..
5. Some of the capacitors not bulged so its better if have a capacitance meter

Where can I purchase capacitors C8059 and C8060?

The CXXX is not important (fabricant reference only) when bying the capacitors, the importance is the (VALUE in uF, the VOLAGE and the FORMAT/SIZE) First unsolder the capacitors from the board (take notes where the capacitors goes on the circuit board and polarity as well +/- for electrolityc type) than take them to a local electronic parts reseller (radio shack/the source, etc..) and show them to the clerk, than ask for the same thing (value, voltage and size) unless you have a lot of space on the circuit board or in the enclosure, the size is less important... (VALUE in uF has to be the exact same thing and VOLTAGE has to be the same as or above)... if they are CERAMIC capacitors the voltage and value are usually coded in numbers, the clerk should be able to provide you with a replacement with a good CROSS REFERENCE TOOL (IF NOT GO TO AN OTHER STORE) they are not competent enough...

Good luck!

Can't turn on tv with remote or manually

Hello,

The issue you describe is consistent with a power supply board issue. This is the board where the AC goes to. This problem may have occurred as a result of irregular power supply, or excess power supply or power surge.

The TV is receiving current but cannot circulate or transfer the current to other necessary part of the TV because of the defective power supply board.

I do not think it needs replacement, rather some defective capacitors are causing this issue.
Open unit up and take a look at the power supply board. You will probably see one or more electrolytic filter capacitors that are bulged up in the top-not perfectly flat like the others.

The value of these capacitors will be different, most likely they will be somewhere around-820 to 2200uF/25 V( or /10V sometimes)

You can replace them with same values but I would recommend the voltage rating to be higher(like 35V for an original 25V) for reliability purposes.

What happens is,these bulged top capacitors will cause a low and unfiltered DC voltage=main board will malfunction(the relay will keep clicking until the caps are holding enough charge to bring the voltage up over a threshold point).

You can buy these capacitors at any Fry's or Radioshack store or you can order them online at vendors like "mcmelectronics.com"(look for electrolytic capacitors).
After replacing these capacitor(capacitors) most likely the normal operation will be restored.

Note: There may be also some other causes for this symptom ,like a defective T con board ,or main board, but the bulged top capacitors are the most common cause for this issue.

If you don't know about TV repairers, take the TV to the nearest repairman to fix the fault for you. Also, note that TV stores a lot of current, so wait a while before opening the TV back cover.

I hope this helps.

Good luck.

We have a Phillips 42" LCD and it turns itself off? it happened last year then stopped for about 11 months, the problem has now come back with avengence.

You are not the only one I can tell you that. I had a similar problem with my Phillips 42 in. LCD HD TV.

Here's the problem. The Power Supply Board. I opened my TV up(warranty was up of course) and found several bad capacitors. Phillips and several other companies were sold capacitors that although were highly rated failed within 5 years because of a lack of preservatives. All sorts of electronic equipment is now being effected due to these defective capacitors.
Solutions?
1. Take it in and have it fixed
2. Open it up, check the board for faulty capacitors(bulged or leaking) Buy a new Power supply board and install it.
3. Remove PSB, remove faulty capacitors and replace with compatible new ones.

Hope this helps

HI, I HAVE AN LG 42LB5D TV AND THE SCREEN GOES BLANK. tHE SOUND STAYS ON. THE INPUT BUTTON WORKS(YOU CAN HEAR IT CHANGE INPUTS) BUT THE SCREEN IB BLANK. IT WORKS SOMETIMES FOR A LITTLE BIT THEN GOES BLANK

Hi:
There are two capacitors on the power supply that needs changing, If you take off the back of the set the power supply is the large center board, look near the white connector the goes from the PS to the main board assembly, there are few Capacitors here the bad ones will look Puffy on the top of them. Replace them with the same values but higher voltage the norm values are 1000uf rated at 10 volts replace them with 1000uf rated at 16 volts, (Note the capacitors are polarized Neg and Pos this should be printed on the board if after you take one out, note the bold band on the board and on the Capacitor this is where the neg side of the cap goes other is the Posistive side. Replace them the same way they were installed this is important for your safety and the televisions proper operation.
