SOURCE: How do change a filter

Find the water filter cartridge cap, which is positioned in the front base grille and looks like a small dial. Place a towel underneath the filter area to catch any water that may drip. Turn the cap counterclockwise until the cap handle is vertical. Pull gently to remove the filter cartridge. Slide the cartridge cap off the old filter and set it aside. Remove the new filter from the packaging and take the cover off the filter. Place the cartridge cap on the new filter and position the cap so that it is vertical. Push the new filter into the hole inside the base grille. Turn the cap clockwise once the filter is completely pushed into the grille. Place a container under the water dispenser and push down on the dispenser. Fill at least 2 to 3 gallons of water, discarding them to remove any impurities that may be present in the filter.
Hope this solution has been helpful?

I cant get my dishwasher to start

Defective Door Switch? The next thing that could be causing your dishwasher to not start could be the door switch. This door switch is also sometimes called a door lock or door interlock switch. This switch is a safety feature and makes it so the dishwasher will not run if the door is open. If your dishwasher won't start, then it is possible this switch is bad. This switch is located inside the door panel. To determine if the door switch is bad, remove the control panel, locate the door switch, and test it for continuity.
Blown Thermal Fuse?Another part in your dishwasher that could be causing it to not start could be the thermal fuse. This fuse is designed to blow if the dishwasher overheats. If this fuse blows, it will need to be removed and replaced to make your dishwasher work. Most dishwashers have the thermal fuse located in the control panel area. To determine if the thermal fuse is bad, remove the control panel, locate the fuse, and test it for continuity.
Broken Door Latch? The part that holds your dishwasher door shut is called a door latch. 99% of the time this latch is made from plastic. If this latch becomes broken or cracked, it will prevent your door from closing properly. To determine if your door latch is bad, inspect your dishwasher door and be sure the latch is not broken.
Defective Main Control Board? The control board in your dishwasher supplies power to all components. If your dishwasher won't start, this could mean that the board is bad. If you have tested and confirmed working all the other steps above, then the control board in your dishwasher is most likely bad and replacing it would be a smart option at this point.

No power kitchen aid dishwasher mod kuds01flss6 what do I check first after checking the door switch?

Hello, welcome to FixYa.

I understand by reading your post which indicates it is a
kitchen aid dishwasher mod kuds01flss6 you appear to have a concern with no power to the control, correct ?

The one thing I'd suggest is the thermal fuse, typically the symptom you've described is associated with a bad thermal fuse. (part #

Here's a helpful link below to a video from "repairclinic.com" to assist in changing (or simply checking it as shown in the second link) the fuse kit...it generalizes on most Whirlpool built dishwasher's such as yours, but if slightly different it is essentially the same.

KUD101FKSS Kichen aid dishwasher does not work.

There are three tabs that are holding the whole assembly, accessible from the bottom...they need to come out. Only then you can remove or even move the assembly...

No water entering dishwasher

If there's no water entering your dishwasher, check these:

Water-inlet valve
Float switch
Water-inlet valve
The water-inlet valve lets water enter the machine. If this valve is defective, you need to completely
replace it. It's usually located behind the lower access panel on the left or right side. It's the device
with the main water line (usually copper) from the house, a rubber tube to the dishwasher, and two
wires attached to it.

Float switch
The float switch is a small electrical switch that's located right below the dishwasher "floor."
Above the switch, on the inside of the dishwasher, is a plastic cylinder that floats up as water fills
the dishwasher. If this switch is defective, or if the plastic float gets caught or trapped in the raised
position, the water can't enter the dishwasher. If the float switch is defective, you need to replace it.
