SOURCE: I have Altec Lansing AVS 300 multimedia speakers with no power

Unfortunately the subwoofer supplies the power to the amp on the speakers, Once again I have the solution,
These speakers are factory molded so that the only way to open them is to break the factory seal
this can be done by sharply rapping the seam at the bottom of the speaker with a heavy screwdriver handle or something similar.
Now you need to supply power to the amp...If you do not have the subwoofer you will need a 4.5volt power supply, after removing the board from the casing find the red white and black wires connecting
the orange plug wire to it, Personally I removed the entire cord from the unit, shough you can splice in at this point if you desire.
Connect the white lead to your posative on your power supply by either splicing or soldering, connect the ground to the heat sink using the screw that is already there holding the chip to the sink. reassemble the speaker.....super glue... and you are now in business.

SOURCE: Subwoofer fuse 'holder' missing.

tape or solder a piece of metal across where the fuze and holder would go.
OR
go to radio shack, pick up a small cartridge style fuze holder and an appropriate replacement fuze. (if you dont have the original fuze, dont bother with this method) Open the box or case to gain access to the circuit board. solder a new holder to the contacts.

Be aware that I have no clue what the fuze holder on that particular model looks like.

SOURCE: Lost my fuse + fuse cap for altec Lansing 621

Most fuse holders tend to be STANDARD sizes with regard to mounting holes and fuse sizes

Your idea of going to radio shack is the best as the ones they stock are also STANDARD and even though you may end up buying the whole fuse holder just to get the cap the cheap prices would be worth it.

If worst comes to worst you would have a WHOLE holder to replace the one that is in there if you dont mind doing a little soldering.

I doubt that a cheaper one will work. Unlikely they would build in compatibility with A L speakers.

Just want to know what it would cost to buy the altec lansing speaker moder acs 45.

It will cost you about $75 for the Altec Lansing ACS45.2 Powered Subwoofer Speaker, which I am assuming is what you're talking about, since the only thing that comes up under ACS45.2 is that. It should cost you about $75, although you will generally only find used ones because Altec Lansing no longer sells them.

My Altec Lansing ADA745 speakers have stopped working. I probably downloaded some other software that overrode the Dell speaker installation. How do I reinstall the Altec Lansing ADA745 speakers?

The speakers are probably fine. What you probably need to do is to reinstall the sound drivers on your dell.

You need the model of your dell pc and go to the dell website and find download and install the sound drivers for your system.

The model of your pc will be needed if any more assistance is needed.
