Download audio driver for presario v6500 with ms xp i need to download only the audio driver and video driver for the laptop

You need to install Microsoft UAA before you install the sound driver. Download ms-uaa from here, install it then again download and install the audio drivers from here...

if u 1st install the driver but not working,remove the old audio driver then reboot the PC/unit then after reboot try again to install the sound driver located from the folder of CD.Now if see running sound exe. just make a free run at self if u see message say restart do it.Good Luck and Have a Nice Day...^_^

The Service Manual may tell you the chipset of the sound card(but I didn't see it just part numbers). Also, you can run this utility here(look for audio in the output), in the event that you can't figure out the chipset otherwise.

According to this post, it appears that it may be part of windows update, you can try that.

hi im josh.may i help you? you try to install ac97via audio or i f you have your motherboard driver try to install it select the audio drivers and install it will automatically detect the driver compatible to your board. good luck!
