Purepro thermostat heat won't shut off

It has a cool selection but that doesn't work. We turned the heat to 72 and now it is up to 84 and won't shut off. We've tried taking the batteries out, turning it off, flipping the fuse...nothing turns it off. How can we get it to shut off?

SOURCE: Maytag MDBH970AWS Heating element won't turn off

The heater relay is located on the control board, a faulty relay or a faulty control board would cause the problem you have described. The fix is to replace the control board. Parts for your unit should be available from most appliance parts retailers, if there is not one local to you, the part is available at www.apliancepartspro.com. along with an exploded view of your unit

Hope this helps.

SOURCE: my thermostat quit working

I work alot with the Honeywell thermostats and in the past couple of years I have seen the Vision Pro thermostats have some fail issues. There is a 5 year warranty on these thermostats so you should'nt have to pay for a new one if it's under 5 years old.

SOURCE: Stuck on Flip Video logo when I turn it on & can't turn off!

Yes this can sometimes happen if the camera2_bing.giffreezes. Use the reset button to recover it from this state. If it freezes more frequently and you experience decreasingbattery runtime, you may need a battery replacement. There is a servicethat can fix common issues like the battery screen, on Flip VideoCameras Flip Video Repair

The car heater does not get real hot will a new therasta fix the problem.

Depends on whether the car itself is running cool. If the car is running in the 80-90 degree Celsius mark then a thermostat won't help you. If it is running cool then it's likely the thermostat is faulty and partial open all the time.
Make sure your interior heater doesn't have an air lock or blockage. Make sure your system fully closes off the cold air when maximum heat is selected

I have a 04 Chrysler sebring and the engine is over heating, the coolant container be bubbling, and the heat won't come on all of the sudden I just put a water pump on.

you might want to change the thermostat and make sure there is no air in the system, make sure all the air is properly bleed out of the cooling system.also make sure that the cooling fan at the rad is working properly.if this doesn`t correct this have a combustion gas test done on the cooling system.

I have a 1997 cadillac deville and it keep over heating. i have changed the hose out twice and checked for leaks, plus i my fan is working fine...

Check the waterpump and thermostat. When the waterpump doesn't turn, engine heat is not transported to the radiator. When the thermostat doesn't open once warm the same happens - no engine cooling.

The radiator should be hot op top and cooler at the bottom. If it's cold allover then there's no cooling fluid transport

I have a Maytag PYE2200AYW electric dryer. we had problems a few weeks ago and discovered that the blower wheel was cracked, so we replaced it (part # 31001317). Then a couple days later it just stops and...

Check the thermal fuse and thermostats again to eliminate them as suspects. Both should be zero ohms at room temperature. If you eyed the entire duct system from lint filter to outside of the house for lint, then these are probably OK.

One thing that will shut down a dryer: a defective door switch. If you turn the timer on with the door shut and can hear or see it progressing (running) then the door switch is OK.

If your door switch is operating marginally, the heat can expand the body of the switch and open the circuit (and shut the dryer off until it cools). Check the switch with an ohmmeter with the dryer disconnected from power.

A loose spade terminal on this switch (or anywhere else) can do this too.

Also, a misaligned door or defective door clasp might do this after heating up.

Keep thinking 'heat expands' and you might find it.

The only other thing left is a defective timer.

Good luck from Detroit, MI.
