Pretty straight forward, just get a wiring harness from ebay, amazon, best buy, autozone, or any stereo place. It's a 2 part harness, one is black and one is grey, just like the ones in your truck already. Connect the wires from the radio to the wires on the harnesses. Soldering is best, crimp on connectors or small wire nuts are good enough, or even just taped up if you are good at twisting wires in a way they won't come apart. Tape them up good. Then just snap the harnesses into place with their corresponding colored harness in the vehicle and you're ready to go. No need for an antenna adapter in these. And you will want a plastic mounting kit so it's not just sliding around in the void. Only 2 bolts/screws will be used to hold in this bracket the top right facing up and bottom left facing left. The plastic mounting kits are like 10-20 bucks. If you get a universal, just snap off all the extra tabs you don't need. It's self explanatory once you look at it and see how it goes into the truck. If you need more help let me know and I'll post some pictures. I have a 97 and a 99 sitting out in my yard.

Change thermostat on 2005 ford escape

Let the car cool! open the rad cap, drain the radiator, follow the upper rad hose to the engine block. Unscrew the hose clamp (now's a good time to R/R the clamps & hoses) Twist the hose loose ( you will loose some AF) After the hose is out of the way, you'll see the thermo housing held down by 2 (appox 15mm) bolts. Carefully loosen them simultaneously (back & forth) Don't twist those bolts too hard ,the can snap easily. Use WD40. Pop off the housing & there is your thermostat. clean the gasket off of the housing & block, R/R the thermo Install the new gasket s directed, tighten down the bolts ( don't) over tighten ( enough to split the new gasket ) .Reattach your new hoses & clamps after letting the gasket sets Refill the rad., & overflow container & start ER' up. after it warms & the t-stat opens you'll see the overflow drop. add more coolant until your at the full /hot level. NATURALLY MAKE SURE THERE ARE NO LEAKS!

I snapped the cable on my amigo value shopper what do i do

if it's the wire that drags on the ground it's a static ground, you can order a replacement from amigo or make one from a piece of stranded copper wire (14 gauge)
strip 3 inches of insulation then wrap once around axle and twist together cover twisted portion with electrical tape to hold together make long enough to allow end to drag on ground
strip 1 inch of insulation to allow wire to contact the ground and that's it
it it's the gray flat cable or the motor wire it will need to be replaced

Amana SXD23V refrigerator leaks water underneath the side where the refrigerator door is evey time I try to get water out of the dispensor. I found a plastic tube on the floor about an inch long then...

I believe your water line or the union nut just behind the kickplate may have come loose. Lets see if we can find a repair kit and get you going again. Depending on where the line is broken or leaking will depend on just how much you will need to do so if leaking at the union nut please disregard removal of door.

To avoid risk of electrical shock, severe personal injury or death; disconnect power to unit before servicing, unless

testing requires power. Discharge capacitor through a 10,000 ohm resistor before handling. Wires removed during
disassembly must be placed on the correct terminals to ensure proper grounding and polarization.

1. Open door and remove all storage buckets.

2. Remove toe grille.

NOTE: Shut off water supply before performing Step 3.

Have a bucket ready to catch spillage from tube.

3. Loosen water-tube clamp screw. Loosen plastic

water-tube union nut. Pull water tube away from

union nut and through tube clamp.

4. Remove screw that mounts door closure to top

surface of bottom hinge.

5. Close door.

6. Remove screw holding top hinge cover in place.
Remove top-hinge cover.

7. Unplug wiring harness connectors. Remove ground
screw and ground wire from top hinge.

8. Remove top hinge and hinge bushing. Pull hinge and

bushing off wiring harness.

NOTE: Hinge shim is glued to top of cabinet and must

be left in place.

9. Lift door about 3 inches to bring lower hinge bushing

up, off hinge pin.

10. Set bottom edge of door on protective pad. Remove

hinge pin (with door-closure tab) from bottom hinge

11. Reverse procedure to rehang door.

    Hi there...i don't have room to post the complete diagrams here, but i can walk you through the steps. It's a little harder for a do it yourselfer than most cars, because the intake manifoild has to come off---one of the reasons a shop charges so much too...and a proper set of tools is very helpful. Your manual will have pictures, to help you identify the parts i describe here...ok u ready?

    Take off the plastic engine cover and set aside. Don't lose the the little acorn nuts.

    1. Remove the air intake hose connected to the throttle body.


    Remove the accelerator and cruise control cables.


    Remove the engine coolant hose and throttle body.


    Remove the P.C.V. hose and brake booster vacuum hoses.


    Disconnect the vacuum hose connections.

    6. Remove the surge tank stay.


    Bleed off the pressure in the fuel pipe line to prevent the fuel from spilling & squirting you in the eye.


    Disconnect the connector from high pressure hose.

    9. Remove the surge tank and careful with gasket, you can reuse it.

    11. Remove the delivery pipe with the fuel injector and the pressure regulator....
    When the delivery pipe is removed, be careful not to drop an injector.


    Disconnect the wiring harness of the coolant sensor assembly.


    Remove the surge tank.

    Ignition coils and ignition wires:
    disconnect ignition coil harness connectors

    disconnect ignition wires from ignition coils

    remove hold down bolts from ignition coils

    while gently twisting pull up and remove ignition coils

    while gently twisting pull up and remove ignition wires

    remove spark plugs (always check gap on new plugs, even if they say they are "pre-gapped" )

    Install in reverse order, don't over torque anything and keep your work area clean. Now would be a good time for wire replacement too---depending on the mileage on your Kia

    Do a good visual inspection of hoses, clamps, wires & pulleys while you have it "opened up" ---Good luck, thanks for using fixya and i hope you get many more trouble free miles out of your Sorento. =)

    Spark plugs replacement

    twist each plug wire boot before disconnecting dont pull on the wire and do one at a time so as not to misswire them. get an airhose or bicycle pump and blow out the sprak plug hole before removing them, particles could fall into the holes after you remove them. Also remove only when engine is cool or you cold damage the threads on the heads. You'll need a padded special spark plug removal tool that will fit at least a 3/8 drive ratchet wrench, and you might need a 4 inch extension for the ones in the rear. Spray some penatrant oil let set for about 5 minutes and try as hard as you can to be at 90 degree when trying to bust them loose. The plugs you purchase should always be stock... NGK is a good brand and they come pre gapped, but line them all up and look to see if they are all the same gap,if not then check the gaps. i always put some oil from the dip stick on the threads to help on installation. dont torque these down!! snug up with fingers first, then snug up with socket, then give a 1/4 to 1/2 turn a little more than a quarter turn is usually good enough to insure the crush gasket is sealed. put new plug in socket and use as guide make sure you dont cross thread! if its not going in easy with some wd-40 or oil then something is wrong and you got it at a slight angle try again. now put on plug wire make sure you hear or feel a little snap or click... that will let you know you got it on correctly, there you go now only 5 more to do and your done. when all is done and you didnt drop any of the plugs on the ground. the engine should start up real nice. but if it sounds weird then its wired wrong. follow the diagram on your hood it should show you the fire order routing from the coils. can i get a very helpul on this one thanks!

    How do I change the license plate lights on a 1997 Lexus ES 300?

    Open the deck lid (trunk) to better access the lights. There will be 2 of them. Recommend replacing both at the same time even if only one has failed. Generally sold in pairs anyway.

    Directly above the license plate will be mounted 2 clear light covers. On the right side of each light cover you can see a small plastic rivet. Push in the center 1/4 inch with a small screwdriver then you will be able to pry out and remove the rivet without damaging it. This will save you from buying replacement plastic rivets for re-installation. Remove the light cover with the bulb harness attached.

    The bulb harness requires a short turn counter clockwise to remove it from the light cover and the new bulbs snap into the harness. No twisting or screwing. Replace the bulb harness the same way and fasten the light cover back into place using the plastic rivet.

    Saves time because both bulbs and light covers are exactly the same style, there is no left or right. Cheers!

    What are Rappel devices (descenders) and what kinds are there?

    These devices are friction brakes which are designed for descending ropes. Many belay devices can be used as descenders, but there are descenders that are not practical for belaying, since it is too difficult to feed rope through them. Figure eight Sometimes just called "eight", this device is most commonly used as a descender, but may also be used as a belay device in the absence of more appropriate equipment. It is an aluminium (or occasionally steel) "8" shaped device, but comes in several varieties. Its main advantage is efficient heat dissipation. A square eight, used in rescue applications, is better for rappelling than the traditional 8. Because of the "ears" or "wings" on the rescue 8, there is less chance of forming a girth hitch whilst rappelling very quickly. A figure eight descender Figure eights allow fast but controlled descent on a rope. They are easy to set up and are effective in dissipating the heat caused by friction but have a tendency to put a twist in the rope. Holding the brake hand off to the side twists the rope, whereas holding the brake hand straight down, parallel to the body, allows a controlled descent without twisting the rope. Because of the many bends it puts into the rope, an 8 descender can wear a rope quicker than a tube style belay/rappel device. Many sport climbers also avoid them because of the extra bulk an 8 puts on the rack. However, many ice climbers prefer to use the 8, because it is much easier to thread with stiff or frozen rope. Rescue eight A rescue eight is a variation of a figure eight, with "ears" or "wings" which prevent the rope from "locking up" or creating a girth hitch, thus stranding the rappeller on the rope. Rescue eights are frequently made of steel, rather than aluminium. Rack This consists of a 'U' shaped frame, attached to the belayer's harness, into which snap multiple bars that pivot from the other side of the frame. The rope is woven through as many of the bars as are required to provide sufficient friction. This arrangement allows for variations in rope diameter and condition, as well as controlled rate of descent.

    First, goto a store and buy a snap in wire harness and a mounting kit. There are wire diagrams in the packaging. Wire your wire harness into the radios wire harness (everything is color coded). Follow the intructions to install the mounting kit. It should tell you what screws to remove from your dash and so forth. Just remeber were everything goes. Next, after you remove the old radio, snap in you wire harness to the cars wire harness. Then, test the radio to see if it powers up and all speakers are working. Lastly, put you radio in your dash, and put everything back togeather. The number one rule in installation is take your time. If you rush, you will brake something.

    Maytag dryer MDGT236aww .......flame ?backdraft? turns off quickly.. How do you get off the blower wheel?

    Got it! O.K.

    Unplug the dryer. Remove the two screws (Phillips) holding the door hinge to the frame. Remove the other two holding the guides on theother side. Pull the top of the front out and lift it off the clips on the bottom. Remove the brackets (5/16 in screws) (right and left) holding the top down. Notice the direction that those brackets hook into the top.
    Lift the top at least a few inches and disconnect any wires you see (light and door switch.) Remember the colors of the wires, and where they go. (The connectors are also different sizes.)

    Remove the four 5/16 in screws holding the ring around the basket in place. Remove the ring (with blower suction chamber) and set aside. The blower wheel will now be visible. The blower wheel is held on with a spring clip (pliers) and a snap ring (snap ring pliers). The motor shaft is D- shaped as the blower wheel also was, originally.

    If you need to replace the blower wheel, the cover is held on with about eight 1/4 in screws and and one 5/16 in ***** at the bottom. Just fold the wires to the right to get that metal cover out of the way.

    While you've got it apart, be sure to clean out the lint in the blower suction area.
