I'm a Realtor. I have a client that has a NP-385-049 Gas grill. The grill cover is very stained. I was wondering if you sell replacement grill covers/hoods? Dan Sieverding

I suggest you visit the website of the appliance manufacturer but be prepared for the parts, if they are available, to be priced not to sell.

I have a used Thermos 2000 Millenium Gas Grill. Is there supposed to be charcoal on top of the burner cover? The charcoal was there when I got the grill. Thank you.

That's not charcoal or shouldn't be. It's Lava Rock Briquettes. If you want to replace or refresh them. you son find the, at most hardware stores and homes centers that sell grills and accessories.

I purchased my Weber E-310 NG unit a year ago. I just moved and need to convert the grill to LP. Does Weber sell the conversion kit? if not what would be the best way to convert the unit?

Weber no longer offers or support conversion kits. If you do any conversion it will VOID you warranty!

That said, if you can find the parts online for the LP version of your grill you can convert it yourself if you are mechanically inclined.

You will need to change the JETS and the GAS REGULATOR. Unfortunately they do not sell official Weber Gas Jets alone. You will have to by the complete LP Manifold, valves and all as well as the Tank Hose with Regulator...

Make sure you are comfortable with all of this... Leak testing etc...

You may have luck finding parts at:

My Weber 3 burner gas grill is about 15 years old and still working well. It has wooden slats that I've replaced and wooden handle which I've restained with redwood stain. The one thing that I'm not...

Many places (K-Mart/Target) sell a high temp black paint specifically made for grills. You might try wire brushing it and repainting it.

When you push the starter button, it either doesn't ignite or it is like an atomic bomb and burns the hair off your arms. Can you tell me what part needs to be replaced to remedy this problem?

I always remove the grills and guards and light the burners as well. I get them burning even with a stick lighter. When all of em look all propah I cover them with the grease guards and replace the grills. I shut the lid and let it get to 400'. I scrub the grill with my brush and shut it back down for 5 more minutes. I cooked some mighty mean saytays tonight using flat metal skewars of boneless chicken strips pork rub and olive oil. I grilled off some oniions and new taters as well. You may have cob webs blocking the shutters making the gas pool, puddle, and go kaboom or you might have rust stopped up burners. Try removing your burners and blowing them out wire brushing the holes and look for larger holes that would cause problems.if gas and air cannot get the proper mix then all sorts of weird stuff happens. The pressure regulato does do wonders to keep things sane. Just remember propane creeps along the ground and puddles in confined areas. Bon appetite mon ami.:D

I have a Sunbeam Gas Grill Mod. # HG4659EP. I need new wheels amd nuts to go on the axel. I think the parts needed are part # 30220113-two wheels and part # 00400251 - two hub caps . I need a local dealer...

I don't think Sunbeam are still selling their products, but do continue to supply spares to cover their warranty.

Try their website

Or the contact numbers on their warranty page.

Failing that, there may be other makes of wheels that would replace yours, you just need the dimensions, and probably dome covered star-lok festeners. The axles should not need replacing.

Jenn air propane grill conversion

It is inconceivable to me that large manufacturers like Jenn-Air and Nexgrill can jointly make and sell an expensive grill and then completely abandon the consumer. I purchased an Jenn-Air 740-0142 LPG and like so many wanted to convert to nautural gas which requires a larger gas orifice. I spent a month on the internet and phone calling Jenn-Air and finally Nexgrill who actually manufactured the unit in China. The Jenn-Air and Nexgrill serial numbers are the same. the 740 prefix is LPG and the 750 prefix is natural gas. After three calls to Nexgrill I found a manager who actually acknowledged making Jenn-Air but declined selling me parts for it as I believe they have product liability concerns. I call back as a Nexgrill owner and finally ordered natural gas orifices at $10.00 each. The shipment never showed up. Calling back again I was told that they really didnt really have any orifices in stock but could sell me the entire replacement gas valve for $28.00 which I purchased. The valves actually arrived on the shipping receipt was from The Grill Services in City of Industry 909-718-6128 . Part number 750-0141/142/593/594.

Forget about pirates in Somalia... we have them right here. Shame on you Jenn-Air and Nextgrill.

Gas cooker on boat

Generally, black soot stains mean the gas/air mix has too little air. If you have an adjustment for the air mix, open it up a bit. Also (don't laugh)- small spiders love to build cocoons inside these gas/air tubes. That really messes up your flame!
