SOURCE: both tanks are full and there still is no water on the floor

Possibly, the vinyl hose, where the solution flows through, is pinched shut fron sitting on the closed position. I've been able to rotate the hose sometimes, to allow flow. A drop of alcohol where the hose is on the fitting will loosen it. Store the unit with the flow trigger depressed to prevent this in the future.

Bissel Pro Heat carpet cleaner is not suctioning cleaning water off of the carpet back into the tank. How can I fix this?

There is a knob on the base that says floor and tools. Make sure that it is closing when you switch it to floor, Make sure that the hose works when you use it too. That will tell us what the problem is.

Tip

Bissel Carpet Cleaner Won't Dispense Water

"My Bissel carpet cleaner has little to no spray action".

This is a common problem and here are some Trouble Shooting solutions. If your machine is only dispensing a little bit of water, or none at all, then:

1. The bladder may be empty- Turn power off, remove tank and refill.

2. The lent screen may be clogged- Clean out the lent screen.

3. Tank-In-Tank may not be seated properly- Turn power off; remove tank and reseat tank.

4. The pump belt may be broken- If so, replace with a new one. The belt can usually be accessed through a belt access door on the top-side of your machine.

Here is a Link that will help in your search for the right belt:

Good Luck!

There is a spring and a silver ball that seals the water from running out of the clean water tank, it fell out and I do not know how it goes back in. Bissel 1720 little green plus green machine

if it is from the tank,,,bad news,,, you have to replace the tank as a unit. according to the picture I see is an assembly and gives no parts breakdown on it exept the complete tank. there is a cover on top of the solution tank and is possible it goes there. that you can replaced but spring-ball part dont show on graphics. update.... cover is no longer available and tank price is about $23.00 at sears website part# 603-1204.

Good luck to you.

Water line routing

The biggest prob with Bissel is not pumping soap. Becuase if you don't run hot water through this tank the soap will dry and clog after cleaning and storing. Before taking it apart try running hot water through the solution tank and help break up the residue, best of luck. Steve

Whare does the dirty water go in the bissel 12 amp pro heat carpet cleaner

the clean water goes into a "Bladder Bag" that is located inside the tank. The way it is designed to work, as the clean water dispenses from the bladder bag, the outer part around the bladder bag fills with the dirty water. It never touches the clean water. Seems wierd, but it works! I hope this helps, if it does, please give feedback, as it helps me to gain ratings. Thank you! Remember to have your cleaners serviced every year by a qualified tech! I HAVE A BISSEL SPOT BOT THAT WON'T **** UP THE DIRTY WATER.I TRIED TO TAKE IT APART TO CLEAN IT, BUT DIDN'T GET VERY FAR. ANY SUGWSTION? THANKS, ...

No Suction
Possible Causes Remedies
Tank is full. Empty tank.
Dirty/Collection tank latch is not down. Push latch down, securely
into place.
Black Valve on the Dirty/Collection Tank is missing. Replace Black Valve into Dirty/ Collection tank.

Usually there is a seal out of place, or a filter is clogged, so you lose suction.

BISSELL QUICKSREAMER MODEL 2070

Here is a link, don't know if it will work for you or not:http://bissell.com/images/UserGuides/1960.pdf
But you put you cleaning solution along with hot water in the upper tank, the bottom tank sucks up the water as you clean. Pull the trigger to dispense clean while pulling it back towards you, push it forward and repeat until done. If that link doesn't work, you can call Bissell and order a operator manual.
