The F14 error indicates a problem between the touch pad and the display control board. This could be a wiring problem so check the wiring harness between the two parts. Make sure that the wires are properly seated and check for corrosion at the connectors. It could also indicate that either the touch pad or the display control board (or both) are faulty. If your wiring is good, you need to replace the touch pad. If the error persists after replacing the touch pad, you have to replace the display control board as well.

The parts are available here: http://www.searspartsdirect.com/model-number/ew30gs65gs1/1412/0124250.html . See parts 19 and 20 on the control panel diagram.

I hope this helps.

Testimonial: "Thanks Cindy. The problem with ordering parts is that it is too expensive to 'guess' which part it might be. Is there a diagnostics port on the board whereby I can check to see if it is really a bad board?"

  • Cindy Wells Jan 05, 2017

Unfortunately, there isn't a diagnostic that will confirm which of the two parts (touch panel or control board) is faulty. If the wiring is sound, then the best you can determine is that those two parts aren't communicating. Cindy Wells
(I have seen a few cases where the problem is in the wiring harness connection on one side or another. Then cleaning corrosion or adding a little extra metal to the contacts in the connector on the board works. Unfortunately, this isn't a sure thing and could do more damage to the board.)

SOURCE: "F1" error code on Magic Chef gas range Model 3488XRA

I'm not sure how to fix this, but my mom's magic chef has been doing this for close to 10 years. She's managed it by plugging a power strip into the wall outlet and plugging the stove into the power strip. Then she can just turn on the strip when she needs to use the oven. It only requires moving the unit once, and is easy for the technological/ home repair novice.

SOURCE: How do I set the clock on a Maytag gas range, I

If your range is the same model as you posted this question under, the time is set by pressing the "CLOCK" button. The word "TIME" will begin to flash on the display. Using the keypad, press the corresponding numbers of the current time.

NOTE: If the oven has been programmed, or is in use, you cannot change the time. Cancel all other functions before attempting to set the clock.

If the model number is not correct, please post back with your correct information so that I may be able to provide you with better assistance.

SOURCE: new electrolux range, fault code F14

HI. Generally, this will be the result of a communication error. There is, possibly, a bad connection at the control panel board. This connection may be worn,or simply disconnected, slightly. Gain access to the back side of the control board, and check to make sure of proper connections at the control board. If you notice a slight separation of any connector, simply reconnect it, tightly. If there are not separated connections at the control board, replace the control board, entirely.

How do I clear the SF code on my Frigidaire professional range

Based on the Frigidaire FPEH3077RF, the SF code indicates that a power failure occurred when the range was set to Sabbath mode. For this range, you press and hold both the Oven Light and Clock buttons for at least 3 seconds to clear the code. See page 27 of the manual, available on the product page: https://www.frigidaire.com/Owner-Center/Product-Support/FPEH3077RF#support . The direct link to the manual is currently https://na2.electroluxmedia.com/Original/Electrolux/Electrolux%20Assets/Document/Complete%20Owners%20Guide/English/A02992303en.pdf .

On other Frigidaire ranges, you might press and hold the Bake Time and Delay Start buttons to clear the code.

I hope this helps. Please post a comment with the model number of your range for other methods to clear the Sabbath mode Power Failure error, if the above methods do not work with your range.

How to address F14 code? Convection oven does not start.

Hey friend, thanks for your post!
I see that your Electrolux wall oven is displaying an "F14" error code. "F14" stands for display tail missing, which means you could have an issue within your main control board or keypad. I would perform a reset on your appliance which can be done by flipping your household circuit breaker off for roughly ten minutes. If that does not correct the issue I would suggest seeking a professional to come out properly diagnose and repair your appliance. I hope this is helpful. -Matt

What does frigidaire GLES389EQA fault code f14 mean?

Good Afternoon James,

I understand your Frigidaire range, model#GLES389EQA, is receiving an F14 fault code and you want to know what it means. The F14 fault code means there is a miscommunication between the display board and the touch panel. I suggest resetting your appliance, by shutting the power of at your home's circuit breaker, for 3-5 minutes. Once power is restored, you will need to set the clock before moving forward. Once the clock is set start the cycle that gave you the F14 code. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your air conditioner status has changed successfully. Hope this is helpful.

-Best Regards-

F14 Error

First please get the full model number of the range. Kenmore products are made by other manufacturers and the error codes will depend on the manufacturer.

Most likely, you have a Frigidaire range (for example a 970. model). Then the F14 code could indicate a problem with the P12 ribbon cable connector tail, a bad EOC (control unit), or touchpad. First try disconnecting and reconnecting that cable. Next the EOC should be replaced. Finally the touchpad should be replaced.

If this is a brand new range, contact Sears to get a repair person to fix the range. If you bought it used, see the above possible solutions.

I hope this helps.

Electrolux oven f10 error code

Hello Mary, thank you for allowing me to assist you!

Typically error code F10 indicates your range has detected an issue with the runaway temperature (overheating). Let's try reprogramming your appliance by either unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. It is important to wait roughly ten minutes and then turn your range on. Usually this will clear most false error codes. If issue persists, at this moment I would suggest contacting a professional to proceed further. Most likely the RTD Probe (Resistance Temperature Detector) or the EOC (electronic oven control) will need replacing. Hope this helps!

There is an F14 error code when I plug the range into the outlet, then the clock comes on. The oven light and convection fan work, but the top elements and the oven don't heat up.

F14 is a memory corruption on the Clock Module.
Replacing the module is your only fix.

It appears your Clock has failed in this instance.

For replacement parts - head on over to PartSelect.com or RepairClinic.com and enter in your full model number for a full parts listing.
I recommend both sites because ...

FixYa has no affiliation with either site - I have been using and recommending them for years - trouble free.

PartSelect has a great schematic database for locating the part on your unit and great "testimonials" for each part that often times includes HOW-TO information.
RepairClinic has pictures of each part they sell and also a great how-to and troubleshooting for basic repairs.

If your unit has never been serviced - there should still be an original service manual enclosed in plastic taped to the inside of the shell.
In the service manual are Error codes, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting steps you can follow.

Anything too complicated or beyond your scope should be handled by a professional.

If you think you want to tackle the repair - and have gotten stuck on a step - reply to your question and I will be glad to help you out.
