SOURCE: location of dm module on wd-62725 mitsubishi 60

The digital module is bolted onto the light engine. If you are not a tech, you are in for a real treat. I checked for availability and it said No Longer Available. They want the DLP sets off the market.

SOURCE: mitsubishi wd-52627 dlp hdtv doesn't appaer as

I have seen alot of the Mitsubishi DLPs to get very dim and the colors appear dull and the cause was almost always caused by the small front mirror needing to be cleaned due to a dust build up. If you need assistance with how to access the mirror on that model send me a email and I will send you info on how to access the mirror. The file is too large to post here. slinteriors@yahoo.com

SOURCE: Mitsubishi WD-52725 DLP DM board

The DM boards for that chassis are almost impossible to find if they are still good. Have you tried replacing the caps on the DM board that you have? Thats usually whats wrong are bad caps.

Testimonial: "Hi. Thanks for the info. I did find one cap that domed and replaced it. Not knowing that you had to wait and hit a reset button. I ordered 12 caps that are mentioned in other posts. We'll see what happens then. Thank you again."

SOURCE: Where is the DM Module on a Mitsubishi WD-62528?

A few pieces of advice--the boards are sandwiched in the main signal chassis and not easy to get at.

If you have replaced those 4 in the actual power supply they do for some models sell the entire signal chassis (has almost everything except the optical light engine) for about 250 exchange.

Let me know what issues you have and I may have suggestions--this model has one very odd issue that is simple---picture gets so dark it is hard to see--not the lamp but easy to fix.

We lost power the other night. Now I have a continuous green blinking light and it won't turn on. I have tried everything the manual says.

Try Going To The Mitsubishi Web Site. Downloading The Mitsubishi Service Manuals If You Don't Already Have It. It Will recommend The parts You Need To ordering. Circuit board photos are also shown which provide a visual reference during the repair process.

If you decide to have a service technician do the repair, insist that the "DM" module is removed from the TV and ONLY the four 1000uF, 16V Capacitors (Caps) located on the DM Module are replaced. MOST techincians will INSIST on replacing the entire DM Module and not simply the capacitors. The cost is about $200 for a technician to replace the capacitors and $1000 for replacement of the DM Module. As you will read below, doing the repair yourself will cost less than $4.00 for the 4 Caps.

Had a new dm module put in. TV does not show device menu when I push remote.

This set like most of them has a reset--yours has a soft and a hard reset----try the soft reset first--

(with set on) Menu, 1,2,3 enter.

Let me know what happens.

If this told you something you did not know, rate this solution as very helpful as I do this here for free.

Where is the ballast board on a Mits. WD-52627

In order to reach ballast you have to remove optical block. Ballast is usually covered with metal shield. It's located on the right hand side of optical block (if to look from the back of the TV). and it have two black thick short wires that connected to the lamp cartridge socket.

Hi, I have a Mitsubishi WD-52525, and have the Green Light of Death. I plan on replacing the capacitors, and have the Power Chassis out of the TV. However, I am having issues extracting the DM module...

The DM is the second board in the chassis from the right side looking in the rear. The first board is the FMT. The second is the DM, third is the Signal and the one which is sideway across the front is the Power board. The Chassis metal shields have to be removed to access the boards.

WD-52725 Timer light is blinking and will not stop.

This part will cost you about 650 to 800 bucks my friend. if you have any soldering skills, and can follow directions, I posted a DM board fix. it may just be four small capacitors. Now this set that was used in the fix is not exactly like all the other Mitsubishi TV sets that still have a DM board, but if you can locate the DM board, follow the rest of the repair. if you do not know how to solder, do not take a chance, as this part is way too expensive to be experimenting around with. Get the Capcitors(there is a link there too for the capacitors)and take the DM board to a service shop, as this should not cost you a lot to have a pro do this for you. The DM board fix is located here: http://www.fixya.com/howto/h154057-mitsubishi_dm_board_repair Good luck
