Hi there,
Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.

Here's a link to this great service

Good luck!

The TV is in some kind of protection mode, the blinking LED show you an error code.
Try pressing 062596 and then press menu button (do these in quick motion, don't let them to time out while keying)...see what happens
Well I think that if you would have a service manual for this set that would help a lot, I can send it to anyone who wants it via email/gmail. Let me know if anyone want one.

I also heard that this problem appeared with some people because the of the burnt fuse in the TV. To fix that it has to be taken to the tech shop. mecry.gif

And yes I also heard about this issue many times, seems like this TV set is very popular with this kind of problem.

SOURCE: Philips cool skin shaver fault

The shaver head symbol means the motor isn't starting, which all the support info assumes is because the heads are too gunked up with hair and congealed moisturizer etc, so clean it. In my case it was because the motor had seized - I completely dismantled the razor and turned the cog attached to the motor spindle by hand while turning the razor on, which was enough to free it up and kickstart it - you'll need some torx screwdriver bits - remove the battery cover (it may be a bit sticky since it is wedged against a rubber seal that it may have stuck to, but it does just lift off, there's nothing to snap), remove the black plastic retainer underneath that which hides a couple of screws holding the head assembly (you may need to prise the battery up to get at them) - undo them and you should be able to pull the head assembly off and push the motor up from underneath to free the plate holding the three cogs driving the head - beneath that is a big cog attached directly to the spindle, spin that by hand while starting the razor and it should hopefully spring back into life since you'll have freed the seized spindle.

SOURCE: My Philips 60PP9202 has blue wavy lines that comes

Go into the customer menu with the remote and look for "convergence" if the red or blue will not adjust in some direction you have a bad convergence chip. This set uses 2 STK-392-120 chips---both need to be replaced along with any of the 6.8 ohm resistors around them that are bad--a bad resistor will be discolored or white in the middle.

With the back cover off the chips are located on two metal heat sinks on the large board on the left side (as you look from the back) and both will have the STK-392-120 number printed on them in white--the chips are black in color.

Most of the time you just need to replace both chips and adjust the set with the remote control. You can buy both chips for about 13 dollars on Ebay--if you can do this repair yourself you will save a lot of money!

Most shops charge 300-400 for this kind of repair---I do lots of them here for 200-250 including parts, labor and house call. Now is the slow time of year for TV repair shops--shop around--if they say "it has to go to shop" keep looking; any good tech can do this repair in your home and it usually takes about an hour.

I do not know how much skill you have but if you need instructions I will help you. This problem happens for a simple reason--the chips are about 2 inches wide and 1 1/2 inches tall with 18 pins each--the back of each is metal and a white grease is applied to each to transfer heat quickly to the metal that they are bolted to. After some years the grease dries out from the heat and one of the chips cannot move the heat fast enough and it fails.

I DO THIS here for free so if this has helped you take a minute and give me a vote here.
