Have a problem with being muffled and too much base. This is mostly on dvd and movie channels. I have resorted to using subtitles. Broadcast shows and sports are easily understood.

SOURCE: How do I turn on the subtitles ( DVD Movies)

On your remote, you should be able to go into menu, sometimes it will be under set up or languages. Look for the closed caption and turn it off. Another idea is sometimes on the remotes itself it will have a subtitle button or even CC, push that if you have that on your remote :-)

SOURCE: can't get English subtitles on

Make sure that your video and subtitle have exactly the same name.
For example:
movie.avi (your video file)
movie.srt (your subtitle file)

As you can see the sub name and the video name are totally the same. We just changed the extension, so the player will be able to load the appropriate subtitle for the right movie.

SOURCE: I can't get subtitle to turn on. Zenith DVD player to play movie with Subtitle

What you want is Closed Captioning. It has nothing to do with subtitles. If you turn off the speakers in your TV, the CC should appear after a brief pause. If your TV is not equipped for CC, this approach won't work

I need to update the software of my LG DV532how can i acieve that?

You dont need to update your software of your dvd,you just need to make sure your dvd usb supports arabic or just do this, Search your movie in google with SUBTITLE ex.Superman subtitle, then if you found your language download it, usually it is a .zip file when you download it ex Superman subtitle.zip you will need to extract that using winrar or any extract tool, after extracting the file should end with .srt ex. superman subtitle.srt, if it is, make a folder in your usb then copy the movie and subtitle in it (make sure the movies name and subtitle name are the same ex. superman.mp4 and superman.srt) then play it.

Mac DVD IFO to Droid X Converter-Rip DVD Movie to MP4 When playing DVD disc on...

Mac DVD IFO to Droid X Converter-Rip DVD Movie to MP4
When playing DVD disc on Mac, you may have a look at the disc folder like external drive. There are VIDEO_TS folder and AUDIO_TS folder, and several .ifo files in the VIDEO_TS folder. The IFO files include navigation info of the DVD movies like chapters and titles, which help media players to play the requested content like VOB in the folder.
Motorola Droid X, as the latest Verizon Android phone, includes 4.3-inch multi-touch screen, and plays videos with H.263, H.264, MPEG-4 as video codec and AAC, MP3, WAV, eAAC+, WMA v10, MIDI, AAC+ as audio codec. However, Motorola Droid X does not support directly import DVD IFO to play movies. Aunsoft Blu-ray Ripper for Mac is the recommended Mac DVD IFO to Droid X converter for you to convert DVD IFO to MP4, and transfer movies to Motorola Droid X. The Mac DVD IFO to Droid X converter also enables you to load DVD IFO from DVD-Video file structure folder on computer hard drive, and rip DVD movies with subtitles.

Follow the steps below, and you can play most of your DVD movies on Android phones like Motorola Droid X, HTC EVO 4G, Google Nexus One.
Step 1. Load DVD IFO to Aunsoft Blu-ray Ripper for Mac.
Insert DVD disc to the built-in DVD-Rom, run Aunsoft Blu-ray Ripper for Mac as the best DVD IFO to Droid X converter on Mac Leopard and Snow Leopard. Then Click the "IFO/ISO" button and choose the DVD from DEVICE, open the VIDEO_TS folder to find IFO files. Here I choose VIDEO_TS.IFO for conversion.
Step 2. Choose Motorola Droid X MP4 format.
Click the "Format" option and choose Android > Motorola Droid (X) H.264 Video(*.mp4), and the DVD IFO to Droid X converter will transcode DVD movie to MP4 for playback on Droid X.

Step 3. Choose subtitle for Droid X video. (optional)
Click the "Subtitle" option to choose the preferred subtitle language for Droid X MP4 video. Please note that there is only subtitle for main movie on most DVD discs.
Step 4. Convert DVD IFO to MP4 for Droid X.
Click the convert button under the preview window, and the conversion from DVD IFO to Droid X MP4 starts immediately.
Wait for a while, and then you can transfer DVD movies to Motorola Droid X and enjoy videos with subtitles.
Tips:
1. To choose the right IFO for conversion, you may need to load each IFO several times. Generally speaking, the VTS_01_0.IFO is the main movie and other IFO files as copyright notice, extras and so on. You can also load the entire DVD disc or DVD folder by clicking the "BD/DVD Folder" button.
2. If you have other videos in .mkv, .mts, .avi, .mov formats, you can use Aunsoft Blu-ray Video Converter Ultimate as the Mac video converter for Droid X.

Select subtitle and audio track when ripping Blu-ray?

Among the Blu-ray ripping tools, Pavtube Blu-ray Ripper is favored by most movie lovers for its high success rate of ripping and free switchover of languages and subtitles. It removes BD+ and AACS protections, and handles Blu-ray discs up to MKB version 10 and above so that the Blu-ray movies are attainable freely. Recently Dolby TrueHD codec had been added to the app, which enables users to access any of the audio tracks in Blu-ray discs. It is “able to open, copy, and watch every Blu-ray, irrespectively whether the Blu-Ray was bought in Europe, Japan or USA (i.e. all the three zones)”. (commented by Markus Nolff, a user of Blu-ray Ripper). This guide shows you how to select subtitles and tracks of different languages when ripping Blu-ray discs. A step-by-step guide is displayed below:

Step 1. Load Blu-ray disc.
Make sure you have had an external Blu-ray drive connected with your PC. Insert the desired Blu-ray disc and run Pavtube Blu-ray Ripper. (A free trail version of Blu-ray Ripper can be downloaded from here.) Now when you see the interface, click on “DVD ROM” and the app will import Blu-ray movie from the BD-ROM. Check the directory and click “OK”. Do not expand the folders and try to look for certain M2TS files, since the ripper will detect and put all the M2TS files in file list. You can load DVD in the same way, the ripper is able to cope with any DVD, either protected or not. If your source movie is in folders, click “DVD folder” to import the folders.

Step 2. Set subtitles and audio tracks.
One Blu-ray disc usually comes with multiple audio tracks and subtitles of different languages. Right under the file list you could find Subtitle and Audio option from where the subtitle and dubbings are set. The dropdown list shows you the detailed information, such as the subtitle language, audio language, codec, channels etc. Here you check the main movie (with longest duration), set the subtitle and audio track, and double-click the file to preview your settings.

Will this dvd player play closed caption dvd's?

It depends on the TV.Go to your TV menu and look for cc on or off. Also it depends on the movie or TV show programming. Some movies might not show cc and offer subtitles, use subtitles if your TV does not have the cc option.

CC (closed caption) won't show up on DVD movies for LG 42CS570 hooked up with standard DVD player (not Blu-ray). How can I fix that?

Subtitle setting is in the dvd setting not the tv, If the DVD would have CC it would be on the case, CC is encoded in to the tv signal

The method of ripping Blu-ray subtitles on Mac

Wanna figure out a way to rip subtitles of a Blu-ray movie? Pavtube Blu-Ray Ripper for Mac can do you a favor. It is a powerful tool specially designed for Mac users to rip, convert, backup and edit both Blu-ray and DVD movies. The source movie could be from Blu-ray disc, DVD, Blu-ray and DVD folder, ISO and IFO file. The ripper could remove all the protections of Blu-ray and DVD movies, back up the movies to hard drive, rip and convert them into other popular audio and video formats to playback on your beloved portable devices such as iPod, iPhone, Zune, Blackberry, PSP, Creative Zen, Xbox 360, Apple TV etc. Besides, the M2TS files shot with AVCHD camcorders can be imported to Blu-ray Ripper for Mac and converted to compatible formats for editing in video editing software like iMovie, FCP, etc.
How to rip BD subtitles on Mac:
Launch Pavtube Blu-Ray Ripper for Mac and load Blu-ray movies to it. You can click "DVD Folder" and "IFO File" to load BD movies into this program.

Once files are loaded, tick off the checkbox before the file which you want to rip. In general, the one with the longest duration time would be the main movie, if there is no need to rip extra files, select this one only would be ok.
Click the drop-down list of "Subtitle", then all the subtitle info in the Blu-ray will be shown clearly, including language and stream ID, so you can select your needed language as your subtitle at will. Meanwhile, you can use the preview window to see your selection.

Afterwards, click on the pull down menu of "Format" to select output format, at the same time, if you want to make good control of the output file quality and file size, you can click "Settings" button to adjust video and audio parameters like bit rate, frame rate, sample rate, aspect ratio, audio channels, etc.
Once all settings are done, simply click on the "Convert" button to start BD ripping as well as the subtitle ripping. After finished, you can click "Open" button to get the output files with your specified file format and subtitle.

Can't get English subtitles on

Check the language settings on the DVD player. I'm not familiar with Panasonic machines, but most players have default language options for subtitles, soundtrack & menus.

The firmware update may have reset this option.

Subtitles...

This could be a problem with a particular DVD media and not the player. The movie (or the program on the DVD) is recorder with default English subtitle. Have you checked it with any other movie DVD to see if it is the same behavior?
