SOURCE: Dishwasher door falls open/no resistance as it

the spring either came unhooked or otherwise fell off - you should be able to unhook the mounting bracket, lower the front legs and pull the machine out a bit -- BE CAREFUL TO SEE YOU HAVE ENOUGH LENGTH OF WATER LINE, DRAIN AND ELECTRICAL BEFORE YOU MOVE IT OUT - once you gain access, check alongside the machine you will find your problem..

I've just installed a Miele 5500SCU Dishwasher and the springs that support the door cant be adjusted far enough to take the weight of the door, does anyone have any suggestions?

If the dishwasher is brand new, then there is an issue with the configuration of the springs, i.e not mounted correctly. A factory dishwasher door should not need to be adjusted. However if it is older, it is possible that the springs came off, in which case they can be seen from the underside of the dishwasher and by a panel that unscrews on the bottom of the door. Make sure the springs are there.

Water does not inter dishwasher

Hi, there is a Floater inside the tub protecting against overflow. when it is pushed up (by too much water) or stuck by debris, and does not fall down to its inactive position, it can prevent water from filling.
Make sure there is no debris, and move the floater up and down until it falls down in its normal position.

There is a floor cover underneath the door, it has a repair manual glued to it on the back. you can use "diagnostics" mode by pushing a specific sequence on the front panel, allowing you to go through each cycle in an accelerated way.

Why does my dishwasher keep popping open during a cycle?

Hi, the problem is that there was too much resistance to the door closing. You have to pull off all the rubber gasket that press against the door, clean it well, re-installed it and the resistance will go. It's a easy permanent fix, just do not stretch the gasket as you put it back in.

Door seals rotting out on westinghouse freestyle 920 dishwasher

If the machine is kept idle for long time without use, these types of problem happens.

When not in use, apply talcum powder over the gasket. Moist the powder and apply as it will fall off . Leave the door slightly open by keeping some folded cloth or some other soft material and close the door.

Contact the service provider and protect the electronics by a water-resistant cover.

Door falls open

The side spring springs could have unhooked. Some springs connect to a nylon rope that slides over a plastic guide. The rope could also have snaped or slipped off the guide. You need to open the sides (normaly the back first) to check. This is easy to fix if you have the right tools...

Dishwasher is Haier ESD300. I had just started to open the door and heard a loud "pop" kind of sound. The door just falls down with no resistance now. There is a string, yes a string, hanging from the left...

You'll have to slide the dishwasher out from under the cabinet to get a better look at the hinge cable system and you should be able to look at the other hinge to see what broke. could be the cable itself or the spring or a retainer. You will not know until you compare to other hinge. After you find the problem you can go to www.repairclinic.com and they may have the part and the picture if not you can talk to a person live chat. Hope this helps

Water not filling in dishwasher

Hi,

If I got your issue correct your Bosch Dishwasher does not fill enough water. There are some things to be done.

There is a Floater inside the tub protecting against overflow. when it is pushed up (by too much water) or stuck by debris, and does not fall down to its inactive position, it can prevent water from filling.

make sure there is no debris, and move the floater up and down until it falls down in its normal position.

PS : there is a floor cover underneath the door, it has a repair manual glued to it on the back. you can use "diagnostics" mode by pushing a specific sequence on the front panel, allowing you to go through each cycle in an accellerated way.

I am sure this would help you.

God Bless

Kitchaide Dishwash Door

There is normally 2 heavy springs & cables that control the "falling" of the door located in the bottom of the machine or it the door itself. Sounds like one (or both) have snapped.
