What is the best and most cost effective way to stream WIFI to UNSMART Samsung HDTV?

I recently bought an ordinary Samsung HDTV Model UN24H4000AFXZA without realizing the importance of buying a smart tv. I do have WIFI and am wondering what is the best way or device to stream? If you would, please give me your reasons for what you advise. Thanks so much. I am in USA.

Suggest getting all the smart TV functions from a upscale blue-ray player.

If you buy next generation BD player then replacing TV in the future you would have a compatible BD player such as function etc.

Samsung has many types and for example the BD-J6300 has near-4K Upscaling Wi-Fi and 3D Blu-ray Disc Player has plenty of features.

Hope this helps?

The most cost effective thing to do is just replace the TV. The cost to repair will be close to the cost of a new LED flat screen, they are very cheap now.

How do I connect Toshiba REGZA 42 HDTV to wifi?

Why would you connect it to wi fi? It is not a smart tv (no streaming)
You could buy a Roku, and connect that for streaming movies. Roku costs $50-100

How do I connect a Virgin HDMI signal to my Samsung 400px

Since there is no tuner in a monitor, you need to get a tuner for it. A good and much cheaper alternative is a Roku Player. It will allow you to stream a WIFI signal from a wireless router to the tv. You can then get some free programming as well as a large selection of subscription services. Some cable companies offer local tv stations as a service to wifi enabled tv's too.

I bought model no. TC-L32C3 recently and want to be able to connect to the internet to stream netflix. I have a cable modem and a router setup in a different room. How can I do this?

Hello markkaufman,

Welcome, and thank you for using FixYa!

To answer your question: I do not see that this TV, of itself, has the connection for Network Cableing (Ethernet) for a networking medium. Nor do I read anything about a WiFi feature within the TV. Short of connecting this TV to another Surround Sound System/Wii/PS3/XBox 360; I do not see any Internet and Netflix streaming in this TV's future.
I have my 47" Samsung connected to our Wii and prefer the browser in that to any TV browser. The TV browsers tend to be perpriatary to the Manufactures ideas of what sites to include.
The Wii can use Opera browser and handle most sites like MSN, YouTube!, Hulu, etc.

Have a great evening!

Colored "snow" vertical line an inch thick on Samsung plasma

That is the sustain and buffer boards. Try to find a repair shop to repair on the component/board level because the cost of new boards out weighs the replacement cost.

Have a smashed screen on LCD tv

It is probably more cost effective to just buy a new one than to getting it repaired. The cost of LCD TV's have gone down in price in recent years, so it would be more affordable just to purchase another one.

I bought my samsung 2033 a month ago. It recently has started to turn itself on and off. Also occasionally no effect when trying change channels.

I have to send mine back to Samsung because of the same problem. Samsung is now like Toyota not disclosing know problems.
