We have dual decoders the Dstv chap put both decoder on 63 if any channel has choose the other one freeze and shut down. what is the problem?

You don't mention a brand or model. Try unplugging from the wall socket for 15 minutes, and then re-apply power. It may have a hung up microprocessor or DAC. Or it may have a bad power supply.
If it uses a 'wall wort' that plugs into the wall, check the specified voltages it is supposed to produce, and measure for correct output.

well this is easier than you think, get yourself a set of RCA's (the red and white and yellow cables that DVD players come with) look behind your decoder and place them colour to colour, then behind your Amp you will read (TV IN) do the same, then with just one yellow RCA plug it into (monitor) that one will then go to the (AV input) behind your TV.. And presto!!! now set your amp input on the remote to TV and your off!! good luck
