You most likely need a new ribbon cable, which is the cable that connects the two halves of the phone. They are not expensive and can be ordered on eBay, and they come with the tools required to disassemble the phone and replace the cable.

a. check thermostat and temperature sending unit b. check coolant level! (this should be a.!)
start the engine ,let it warm up a little, take off radiator cap, should see coolant circulating in radiator- if it isn't after a reasonable amount of time, then your thermostat may be defective! if it is flowing, your temp. sensor may be bad- or, perhaps, a loose wiring connection.
these newer cars can make it difficult to actually see what's happening with the coolant, so no guarantees!
