Question about Microsoft Windows 98 for PC
Need some help i am installing windows 98 on asus p4 motherboard with a 1.4 ghz celereon cpu 1 gig mem and a 160 gig WD hdd. Windows 98 installs and everything trough the frist part. when the computer reboots it brings up the windows98 bootscreen and then the p.c reboots again and keeps on rebooting. Please help.
This sounds like you tried to reinstall Windows 98 over the top of an old installation rather than a fresh reformatting of the hard-drive and THEN a reinstallation. You will need to boot from the Windows 98 CD-ROM, FORMAT your hard drive and THEN install Windows 98 as most looping reboot issues have to do with 98 RE-installs over the top of an old installation.

It could be a memory related problem. Try to test your memory module by installing it to a different system that is surely working. If that system restarts, then you must replace the memory module.
