The charge cord for my bissell spotlifter2x is broken where can get a new one

The Genuine cord for your model is no longer available. I have replacement cords that will work but you will need to use your old connectors and strain relief or buy new ones. Cords available at thatvacguy.com.

Either the cord inside is caught on something or the retraction spring is broken.
Try to pull it out further, if you can feel any spring-back then most likely the cord is caught, maybe on itself.
Either way, the canister will probably have to be disassembled to fix the problem.

Check Amazon's website. Are you sure it is the port. The usb to usb mini cords go bad quite often. Have you tried another known good charger and cord?

Vacuums are not usually fused, but may have a circuit breaker--look for a small protruding button that when pressed, resets the breaker. The plug on the end of the cord may have a wire broken within the plug--replace it with one from a hardware or home center. Another common problem is the power switch may have failed. Order a new one from an appliance parts house. Good luck!

I would try to find a repair shop to replace it as bissell does not currently offer replacement power cords (atleast not on their website) if your power cord is only chewed in one place you could always just splice it back together and use some electrical tape. sorry I couldn't be of more help.

YES! If you haven't contacted Bissell yet (or bought a new vacuum) do so. They sent me a nice refurbished machine for free.

I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. Usually the Bissell needs a genuine cord because there is a special grommet or cord protector that goes into the bottom of the Bissell of the machine or sometimes you can use a replacement cord and then also use a replacement cord protector as well to replace the cord. If you have a problem then contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or contact the Bissell factory cust service to get an owner’s manual for the Bissell. I had same problem with my lift-off, i sent email to Bissell explaining what the problem was and where to get replacement parts. They sent me emial back saying they will send me refeb replacement vacuum becasue this part has been discontinued (I think there is a prolem with lift-off and Bissell is trying to make it right for their customer without official recall). I did get my fedex lable and i sent entier length of cord from my lift-off back to them. I should be getting my refeb vacuum soon.
