SOURCE: Toilet Refills Every 15-Minutes

I have minute amount of leakage into the bowl causing mold to grow. I believe that it may be the rubber seal for the flapper body to the porcelain.

Eljer Windsor One Piece Toilet help - leaks water into bowl

I would go back with the ballcock kind. However, the flapper will need to be replaced. It is not seating properly. The fluid master is a revised version and a bit more efficient. It should work well also. They both work off buoyancy and shuts off water the same way.

I had one just like that where the overflow tube that the flapper connects to was cracked. It sounds like this is the only part you have not replaced. The flapper may not be seating onto the inlet either. If you replaced the flapper with a cheaper version of flapper, some new ones will even leak.

When the tank is full and leaking into the bowl reach in and put slight pressure on the flapper and if the leak stops then you may have the wrong flapper or the flapper is not installed properly. If that is not the case then make sure the flush valve seat is not cracked or that the surface is not warped.

On my eljer toilet, I get continuous running of the water. If I shut valve off and pump the tank, the running stops (but only for a week or so). Suggestions? model 150-403 power flush pf/2

I don't know what you mean by "pumping" the tank. If the toilet runs, then either the fill valve is defective or the seal on the flush valve is defective. First, check to see that when you move the float, the toilet stops running. If it does not, then replace the fill valve. If it does, then inspect/replace the seal on the flush mechanism at the bottom of the tank. If this seal is bad, you can usually see water continuously flowing (slowly) into the bowl. You will see ripples on the surface of the water in the bowl.

Toilet tank looses water over time

As long as there is no water leaking from the tank to bowl connection, you are OK. You would know if it was leaking here, because you would have water dripping out onto the floor.

Verify that the water level in your tank is below the top of your new flush valve's overflow tube. If the water level comes to the top, it will overflow into the toilet bowl. This can be easily fixed with an adjustment to the fill valve.

If the water is not overflowing into this tube, then the only way you can lose water is through the flapper. You said you changed the flush valve, which would have come with a new flapper attached to it, but maybe buy a new flapper and see what happens???

I've never had a problem with Eljer toilets. Try adjusting the fill valve so that it allows more water to enter the tank (if you're over the flush valve, install a coupler made from PVC around the neck of the flush valve- inside diameter of the coupler needs to be the same as the outside diameter of the flush valve filler neck).
