SOURCE: Help with Bostitch N60 air nail gun.

If it is a N60FN you will have to install a new trigger valve P/N TVA6. Any Bostitch service center should have them.

My Bostitch N60 will not drive the nailes all the way. What can be the problem?

Usually, the driver extends past the nose of the gun about 1/4 inch. Easy test. Remove nails and dry fire the gun into very soft wood to make sure that the driver is not missing the tip. If good indention is made into the wood then suspect worn piston oring. Easy test for worn piston oring. With nails removed, point the nose of the gun up then down again. If the driver moves within the cylinder, replace piston oring. This gun needs about 90 to 100psi. If too much hose is used, pressure will drop. Check pressure at the hose by making a tester using a male quick fitting installed on a pressure gauge. Good luck

When using n60 nailer, one nail goes all the way in, but the next nail only goes halfway in and the some don't go in at all. Don't know what's wrong.

Worn orings in gun and the trigger valve can/will cause problems as you describe. Remove the nails and leave open the latch. Lighty tap the nose of the gun against coiled rubber hose. The driver/piston should stay in the top position (if the driver is down or comes down after test, replace driver oring). Now push the nose against the rubber hose and activate/hold trigger, while holding the trigger/gun in this position, the driver will /should stay down under pressure. At this point no air should leak out of the nose of the gun. If air leaks out of the nose, examine the lower bumper for cracks ( replace as needed ). Finally remove the trigger and examine the firing valve pin. If it has a plastic pin, looks worn and wobbles from side to side, most likely needs to be replaced. If however it has a metal pin and it seems to fit snugly, do not change unless it is leaking air. Good luck

My bostitch 1664fn finish nail gun blows lots of air out exaust

Open the front and clear any jammed nails that are there. Oil the gun, push the drive pin back in if it didn't go back in when the front was off and try again. If there are repeated nail jam issues, try genuine Bostich nails.

I have a N60FN with a bad TVA6 I found the remains of an O ring in the bottom of the TVA6. I think I have one that will replace it, but I am not sure where it goes. Where can I find a diagram to walk me...

Go to the Bostitch web sit(Aust.) Look for tool break down sheet. Look up Your Nail Gun Model No. N60 FN or N60 FN2. That may have the info you need. Or try asking your nearest nail gun repair agent for the info you need.Good Luck!

Bostitch N60 finish gun - air leaks out of the trigger when the air hose is connected

There is an oring that is probably broke in half, It is referred to as a purple o ring. You can buy the whole trigger assembly but I think that just replacing the one will get you going. Let me know and I will try and help more
