You need to contact the manufacturer about this and have your serial number ready when you call them. This site doesn't have recall info for this type of product.

How do I find out if my Cuisinart blade has been recalled? Model #DLC-7E

The simplest way to check if the DLC-7E blade is one of the recalled blades is to take the blade out and look at it. If there are 4 rivets holding the blades to the stem, it should not be used. For more information, look at .

I hope this helps.

Cindy Wells
(The rivets, if present, will visible when you look at the top of the blade where the two sections of the blade go around the stem of the unit.)

How to attach Cuisinart blades DLC 8 to DLC7 stem

The DLC-8 blades and the DLC-7 blades are not compatible. To attach the stem, first attach the stem to one of the compatible blades - the stem should day "DLC-7" for the DLC-7 blades - by inserting the first two tabs of the stem into the first two ridges of the blade connector - the left-most tab should be sticking out past the end of the blade connector - then slide the stem into place so that all tabs fit securely into the blade connector. Next, place the end with the blade up and insert the stem into the middle of the workbowl. There is a video for all Cuisinart food processors on the Cuisinart website.
