Dell 2407 Can't get rid of "No S-video input signal" message on screen. How do I get rid of this?

Your S-Video connection is referring to a round plug for a TV input signal. Most computers will not have this connection unless you have a TV based video card. If your using a TV 'monitor' as your computer's video device, their will either be a button on the monitor or your remote to allow you to choose the input signal. If you are using a VGA or HDMI or DVI cable as the connector between the two devices, most likely, the light is referring to one of these, as its video source. You will need to match the cable & monitor source detected to get a usable picture output.

Good luck.
Toby.

My TV just started displaying this message too. I have FIOS. I shut off the FIOS box and turned it back on again and the message disappeared. FIOS problem, not a TV problem.

When I turn on myDell 32" LCD TV I get a screen that says "Software upgrade Application RO.9_D06", "You are about to upgrade your TV. If you do not want this, turn off your mains power." But I can't turn...

To get rid of the screen. Unplug It.

The TV is locked in a state of only being able to perform the update.
So if this is possible why not just do it. (push the main button on the screen) Wherever it may be.

Unplug the TV from the wall and plug it back after 45-60s should fix the problem. However, it will come back from time to time so the same procedure will reset the video board. You'd want to upgrade the firmware on the ATSC tuner as well because old firmware was built before the final standard and when the TV goes digital in June 2009, it wreak havoc on all older HD TV. Go to hitachi website and download new FW for your TV. Copy the FW to an SD card and follow procedure from Hitachi to upgrade. It works wonder for my TV after the upgrade.
