Hi laptop error 203 when making recovery disc 2 using packard bell recovery management. the disc is OK & tried restart and doing it all again disc 1 burns ok. what's the answer please

Try another new dvd and it should be a dvd -r. havn't had good luck with dvd + r or dvd r/w when making recover disks.

never try to reuse a dvd or cd that has given you an error. toss it.

How do I remove cds from a pioneer 12 disc changer with no power?

You can remove the CD's with no power just use a pin to open the CD drive. you can see the a small reset hole to open the drive. You just insert the pin to the small hole and push now you can pull the drive slowly to open and remove the CD's.

Disc error

hi, does it take the tray out or stop half way?

the alpine changer mechs have a problem with jamming up.
this also covers the mercedes and BMW models too.

if its just tray 3 thats not working then it could be the tray try swapping the tray around this will rule out the mag/cart/tray. that way we can tell if its the changer or the mag/cart.

if its all trays that it dont work on the try tapping the mag with the handle of a screw driver while its trying to load, this is normally enouight to unjam the loading arm..

My disc is not changing and is stuck ( CHM - S620 by Alpine )

hi make sure that you cart is inserted all the way in, push the eject button why hitting the mag with the handle of ascrew driver. this may dislodge the jammed arm/lever. otherwise its down to your repair agent.

Extracting the cd case without power

try a flat bit of card or ruller. insert it under the cart/mag and wiggle it. you will need to trip the catch, its about half way accross the middle of the magthis wil onlt work if the mag is not half loaded ie the trays are not out.

CDAC ER2

CDAC ER2 usually means a cd is stuck, not reading properly, or that the magazine is stuck or broken. take out all cds and try it with a known good cd (one that played ok in the past). if that doesn't work, try unplugging the unit and plugging it back in.

if it still doesnt work, take the magazine out, power it up so that you get the "no mag" error, then insert the magazine with no discs and see if it still errors out with ER2. if it does, then the magazine is bad, or the changer is bad..

if it works, then try the known good disc again, if it works now, your magazine was probably stuck, or one of the other cd's isn't liked by the changer.

hope this helps,
trin

Ejecting CDs

The safest way to remove the cd mag is to take of the outer cover and wind the mech until the mag pops out
