2002 Jeep liberty handle on glove compartment broke how do I open it

Brute force and get a new one from a breaker.

In saying this it is obviously via a button on ur key or have u tried the button inside the glove compartment

Most likely an a/c - air door actuator gone bad.

you may be able to open it by removing the screws from the bottom of the door and lifting it up carefully

you may have ablown fuse or a bad ground

This happened in my '01 galant as well. If you take a peek under where the handle used to be, there's a little square nook with a spring and a little plastic tab. take a key and stick it right above the tab and press down, and the glove compartment should just pop right open. If it doesn't work, then it's probably just locked. Just unlock the door and try it again.

the retaing clips have probably broken, and the plunger rod has fallen down in the door, its really hard to get the door panel off with the door closed, but it can be done without destroying it, just gotta be really careful. good luck.!!

take a small precesion screwdriver and push the lever inside the housing ,that should do it.hope this helps

If you raise the handle and look under it,you will see a metal loop sticking out,If you grab that with a pair of needle nose pliers Or other small pointed object and pull,It will open.
