On my neatgear Roku XD player the picture is froze can't turn it off have unplugged for a few minutes no help?

Unplug it. If yours has a reset button press it .

Turn off your Roku by unplugging the power cord, plug it back on, open youtube again so that it gives a fresh new code, once that code is display, on your computer go to:

youtube.com/activate (copy and paste the link.

And insert the code. You should be good to go.

If your Roku is plugged in, your t.v. has also have to be set to the Roku player select button or a different channel. Either, DTV or something similar. Then it will show up with the Roku Icon and then it takes a few minutes to come on.

If it never goes from the bouncing (you may have to wait quite a few minutes), then it is defective, you'll need to return it.

Roku sells a replacement remote for their units on the Accessories page: http://shop.roku.com/accessories-all . The remote that works with the XD is ~$15 + tax/shipping&handling.

try to change the batteries. Or try to power cycle the Roku player by unplugging the power cord. You can also contact support.roku.com so that they can assist you better.

if you're only seeing white roku, it's on screen saver mode. if the remote didn't work, try to change the batteries and try again. you can also power cycle the roku unit by unplugging the power cord from the power outlet for 20 seconds.

Roku does not recommended turning off the unit (allowing it to receive updates, etc.) You could unplug it, but any updates would need to be installed before you could use it again. I think I would just leave it plugged in.
