Get a Jaycar catalogue as they have a lot of basic electronic projects
some are in kit form that you have to finish off and others have all the parts that you have to put together
they also have beginner electronic books that help with projects

Any really good suggestions for storing gift wrap supplies?

there are loads of different storage ideas for gift wrapping - it really depends on how much space you have. Do you have room for a gift wrapping station? Or just a hanging storage, or maybe a shelf with a magnetic strip to attach stuff to.

Hi Eloy,
There is some short circuit further up in the power supply. You have tried what you could do. Let some Tv Tech do the job onwards. Or if you are handy with some basic electronics knowledge I could suggest something.
Good luck.

No picture just sound

This is what happens when the vertical deflection module fails. You need to open the tv and check the cause of the failure: either the final IC has failed or the power output doesn't get power from the source. To check that you need at least a basic knowledge of electronics. If you don't have it then it's time to call a repairman.

Apex GB51HD09 convergence

Please have it taken care of ASAP. It definitely sounds like Cold Solder joints on the convergence IC's. Cheap repair now, if you stop playing it. Every-time the convergence goes out, the ic's struggle to bring it back in and can't and therefor over heat. so please have it taken care of Pronto. Apex used a Samsung chassis which was a good chassis in that PTV.

Samsung Rear Projection 47" TV goes into stand by on start up

I am sorry to disappoint you but a TV problem can only be fixed by electronic technician. If you want to do it yourself, you would have to learn electronics. Start by learning basic electronic, and then read a book on how to fix televisions. Without knowledge in electronics, you won't be able to understand a book on fixing a TV. I have been fixing TV since 1998, and I started after dropping out of electronic engineering class. I learned most about electronics on my own, and you can too.

Can u suggest some ideas to present a beautiful and attractive web page design for my project in photoshop?please guide me with some ideas 4 the same.

It is a bit of an ask to give you instructions on great WEB designs.
There are book that you can buy that go into far more details than I can supply and they have great examples and show you step by step processes.
Basically keep it simple, don't have more than 4 levels of pages and have a link back to the home page at each level. Keep it simple without loads of text info. choose colors carefully that are pleasing to the eye and if you have images, keep them small so the page does not take too long to download.

Magnavox 51MP392H/17 No pic only sound

Hello winwithrose,

The popping sound may have been a capacitor. The chance are the capacitor is in the HV section of the TV set and is part of the supply to the Horizontal section of the TV. First if you do not have electronics experience I would suggest you take the TV to a qualified TV repair shop. OK now if you have electronics experience I would say to unplug the TV, open the set up and do a physical inspection of the TV you will be looking for a capacitor that has exploded; if you find one look at the schematic for the TV and find its value. Then do so checks to find out why did the capacitor explode. Most likely the capacitor exploded because of wear and tear, but it always pays to check. Replace the capacitor with one of the same value and then turn the TV on, use your voltmeter to measure the voltage across the capacitor to make sure its the same or close to the value on the schematic.

These are the basics of what to do

I hope this helps

Thank you,
