Theoretically the Fitbit should keep the time updated though syncing, but there are some things that throw it off. I would try these steps in this order. Check after each step to see if you have the correct time before doing the next step.
1. Re-sync your Surge to your phone/computer
2. Check your settings on your dashboard to make sure you have the correct time zone selected.
3. Make sure you do not need to update the app then try disconnecting and reconnecting the Fitbit in your Bluetooth settings.
4. Try removing the Surge in the Fitbit app (should be under device settings) and then reconnecting it.

Hope that helps!

My radio stopped working after a power surge tripped the breaker for the outlet it was plugged into.

I have had several different makes of clock radios and all said that it was battery back up for power failure
none worked and all settings had to be redone
power surges do not trip breakers as they are in effect a fuse to prevent damage to the wiring in a dead short situation or when a unit fails
even surge protectors will still pass power after a surge but will no longer protect against another surge

We have had a power failure and the oven will not work unless the clock is reset but the manual instructions do not help as the knob does not change the time.

Every one of these things has a different method for changing the time/resetting the clock. You'll have to provide a make and model number.

I can't put an app on my cell; so how do I change the time to match the time-zone when I travel?

Unfortunately you have to use a smartphone which supports the app. I have however been able to connect my surge to my PC, but haven't tried to sync yet.

I try to set the clock on the oven but pressing the CLOCK touch pad or the TIME-TEMP pad has no affect. It is completely nonresponsive.

It sound like the board is faulty, its quite common after power surges can cause damage to small circuit boards like clocks, I would recommend changing it as the clock will also provide timing for switch on at a set time cook for time as well. Epicure Electric

Emerson Smartset CK1862 does not auto set the time

In this case, it is probably better to buy a new Clock/Radio. You should also try to figure out what caused the problem with the broken Clock/Radio. This will help you prevent it from happening to the new Clock/Radio. You probably need a surge protector. The surge protectors will help prevent the Clock/Radio for being damaged by transient voltage surges that happen during storms and power outages. Sorry this answer is so late in coming to you. Thank you for using FixYa and have a nice day.
