you will need to call the parts store directly and ask them to order the part or if they know where to get it. My guess is that with the unit being that old, your part is obsolete.

MTD Snow Flite model 316230500. Where can I get belts?

I have already answered you twice with this information!

They have there own forum.

You don't need the part number, you just need to measure the length, or you can phone and say;

I have a snow flite brand snow blower model.316230500. Serial no.811262, send me a belt for it.

All the belts are here

Broke small black connector between fuel line to side of carburetor. Flat bottomed funnel shape fits in to side of carb. Has filter inside. I believe it feeds the primer.

That is a fuel tank vent kit. Most models have a vent in the fuel cap but that model uses a separate line with a Duck bill vent (usually a green rubber inside that piece in picture). Part number for that is 574859301 . Your blower should run ok with out it but could leak fuel. If you are going to order any parts for your blower do so using Model # PPBP30 Your parts will be cheaper. That particular model has exchanged hands between MTD/Mcculloch/Bolens and Husqvarna/Poulan over the years. The parts are cheaper when you use the Husqvarna/Poulan model # PPBP30. Only noticeable difference will be a yellow starter housing if you buy a starter assembly.

I need a replacement belt for my craftsman snow blower the model # is 886640 24" 5.0 What size belt do I need? Thanks

Sears will not tell you what size of belt you need. They only list parts by part number. But this machine uses MTD belts and you can get them at searspartsdirect.com or your local mower shop can order them through MTD.
Part Listing: http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/part-model/Craftsman-Parts/Snow-removal-equipment-Parts/Model-247886640/0247/1507200?sid=MMLxMerchandizexManualsModelxcraftsman%2088664x247886640
Manual: http://www.managemylife.com/mmh/owner_manuals/search?query=craftsman+88664
Here are the two part numbers for the two belts on the machine. MTD Part #: 954-0343
and #: 954-0430B

What type oil do I need for a TB4SC Troy-Bilt leaf blower? Thanks.

Your user manual would tell you exactly what to use, if you have it. If you need a manual you can download a free one here, but you will need the serial number of the machine in addition to the model number.

Looking for a carburetor for a yard machines mtd

You may have better luck in identifying the engine type and manufacture (Briggs & Stratton, Tecumseh, etc) and get the number of the engine vs the machine itself, if possible. If you are able to do this, you can search ebay or the net for a wider range of possibilities for a purchase.

find your local mtd distributor, the fact that it is an 18.5 v twin briggs and the 42 inch cutting width will tell them what model you have, then you can go to mtdproducts.com and order a manual, or get it from the distributor, serial number or model number will get you a manual or parts book

The blower starts, whines then stops. At first it just whined and slowed down. Now it stops. When stopped the blower itself seems free.

If it is electrical, the blower motor is wore out and has no life left in it,no repairable part, when blower is moving the heat from bad motor is swelling and when cool will turn free. Please rate.jj505
