There are two screws on the carb. 1 is Lo rpm air/fuel ratio and the other is hi rpm. Try adjusting the lo rpm screw counter-clockwize a 1/2 turn at first, more if needed. After each adjustment try to start. The other thing you could check is if the float is sticking in the bottom of the carb. which shuts off gas flow if full. There is a screw on the bottom of the carb to drain that float. You can try that also! Good luck man!

when you prime the bulb it sucks gas from the tank with the small tube, any excess gassed pumped will be fed back to the carb via the big tube leading to the tank. If you prime it and the bulb stays pushed down, then you have a clog or kink. To fix , pull the small tube out of the tank through the fill hole. Pull off the filter on the end and put the tube back in the tank. If it primes, your fuel filter was clogged. If it still wont prime check the hose going to the carb and make sure isnt clogged or kinked.(take of carb and blow in it). If that doesnt fix it take off the bulb from the carb with two screws. The bulb assembly will come off too(rectange metal thing) Take off the two black gaskets, be carefull with them. Take off hoses from carb and bulb asembly. Blow carb cleaner in all holes and over surface. Put back together.
If the carb wont prime and the bulb isnt staying depressed. then you might have a bad bulb or carb gaskets. Make sure hoses are not cracked, cloged, or pinched.

SOURCE: Echo trimmer , new carb , good spark, cleand fuel filter, new fuel, new fuel lines, cleaned spark arrestor, primed and pull , no gas getting to the plug.compression test? What pulls the fuel? Intake?
Hi Ralph, Seems like the problem is where the float and needle meet, The float, needle and seat let the gas into the bottom of the carby and as the gas rises the float rises as well pushing the needle up into the seat slowing the gas flow into the bottom of the carby.... As the motor's using the gas in the bottom of the carby the float's lowering and the needle lowers as well allowing gas into the
carby, If the needle is stuck inside the seat then NO gas will be let into the bottom of the carby so check that by pushing up and down the float to see if the needle moves up and down if not just pull the needle down with your fingers.... OH AND YOU MIGHT NEED
TO CHECK THE PART OF THE FLOAT THAT TOUCHES THE NEEDLE.... I hope you know what I mean....CHEERS..

SOURCE: Trimmer won't prime to start
Look inside the tank. Some units have a stone inside that blocks the fuel line when it is tipped a certain way. Might be what's happening here.
